Spent the last couple of months working on these two puppets - Charlie and Maude.
Both puppets represent the mill heritage of the area, Charlie being Stalybridge's new puppet and made for the re-launch of the hi-street. Charlie was made as part of a @thingumatheatre masterclass with Andrew and Kathy down at @101outdoorarts with lots of other amazing artists from towns across the uk creating puppets for Hi-street fest - produced by some amazing lovely people from @emergencyexitarts .
And then I was given a wonderful opportunity to design and make my own puppet Maude by @global_grooves for @tamesidecouncil and this wonderful Stalybridge event Weave.

Carol and the Greater bird of paradise last week at the lovely under wonder Event @ Northern roots base in Alexandra park Oldham - such a lovely event and nice to light the bird wings they were looking great as the sun was disappearing - excited for summer and more fun with @full.stilt@rowanclairetaylor obvs your beautiful costumes are the best to perform in 🙌

Remembering this beautiful costume I designed the Batik for and painted with wonderful volunteers who really did do an amazing job at waxing and painting. Produced by Cabasa and global grooves.
This picture was back in September at Bournemouth's Arts by the sea but originally it was produced for the jubilee.

It was truly wonderful to be apart of the creation of the spirit of the north.
Working with community groups and designing 5X8m silks from the beautiful poetry of Pat Baker and the community.
