Let this inspire us to walk boldly in our calling, trusting that God’s plan for our lives is unfolding in beautiful ways. For anyone seeking motivation for the year ahead, let’s move forward with a new attitude of positivity and leave your MARK—so the world can see. Be bold. Be beautiful. Be brilliant. Live your life. There’s no better feeling than seeing your art on the wall and truly appreciated. Thank you, @glorillapimp 🙏🏾 You can’t build a legacy in private. Your art is #Currency, but only once it’s on the wall for the world to see. Leaving my MARK isn’t just what I do — it’s who I am. - @mstoddart68 #glorilla #glorillapimp

RISE & GRIND, Beloveds: People often say that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves. – Salma Hayek True happiness begins when we recognize that the greatest approval we need is our own. It is about finding comfort in your own skin, embracing your uniqueness without comparison, and appreciating the journey that shaped you. When you can sit alone with yourself and still feel whole, that’s when you discover the deepest form of beauty—self-acceptance. Remember, the great possessions of life are not simply those things we discover on the outside, but what we also discover and develop within. Be bold. Be beautiful. Be brilliant. Live your life. Leave your legacy. Make your MARK.

RISE & GRIND, Beloveds: “I’m for truth, no matter who tells it. I’m for justice, no matter who it is for or against. I’m a human being, first and foremost, and as such, I’m for whoever and whatever benefits humanity as a whole. — Malcolm X This week, I honor the birth of El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz — Malcolm X, who would have turned 100 years old. We stand on the shoulders of those who came before us. We honor you, Brother Malcolm, for your unwavering sacrifice in the struggle for freedom. Thank you for standing tall as the epitome of manhood, discipline, and integrity. Thank you for being an unapologetic African Internationalist and a fearless Freedom Fighter. Let us carry that mission forward not just here at home, but in solidarity with oppressed people around the globe. This centennial is more than remembrance; it is a call to action. A reminder that the fight for justice, equity, and truth is far from over. “By any means necessary” is not just a phrase. It’s a commitment to truth, to justice, and to the unshakable courage to press forward, no matter the cost. Ideas are bulletproof. And Malcolm’s legacy lives on in all of us who dare to imagine and build a freer world. Happy 100th Birthday, Malcolm X. Your light, your words, your mission still lead us. Be bold. Be beautiful. Be brilliant. Live your life. Leave your legacy. Make your MARK.

RISE & GRIND, Beloveds: You only get one shot at this “Mom” thing—whether as a child or as an adult. You only get one Mom. A mother is more than just a role—she is the heartbeat of the home, the quiet strength that holds everything together. She gives a love that asks for nothing in return. A love that forgives without question. A love that stays, even when the world doesn’t. To my brother Frankie thank you for showing a vulnerable side of Hip-Hop. The way you expressed your loss was raw, real, and deeply moving. I haven’t lost my mother yet, but watching your video reminded me how important it is to acknowledge and honor the people we love while they’re still here and give them their flowers. If your mother is still with you, spend all the time you can with her. Sacrifice for her like she did for you. Treat your Mom right..because you only get one. If you don’t cherish her now, the silence that follows might be filled with words you can never take back. I love you, Momma 🖤 Be bold. Be beautiful. Be brilliant. Live your life. Leave your legacy. Make your MARK. For My Mother Directed by shotby3rdeye Written by Frankie Payne Produced by @sproxx Staring @michiebadgyalmee and @jordanjmanfrancis

RISE & GRIND, Beloveds: “The worst thing to do in life is to live in fear. I have no fear at all. If one becomes afraid, you can’t do your work. You’ll be looking over your shoulders and be afraid to say what you want to say.” ~ Dudley Laws The funny thing about life is that most of us don’t truly LIVE IT or WEAR IT. —we fear it. We fear being vulnerable, being weak, and making mistakes. We fear loving someone and being hurt. We fear the future and all the “what ifs.” But how can you live if you never truly experience it? Too often, we worry about things that haven’t happened instead of embracing the right now. Dudley Laws was a fearless advocate who dedicated his life to fighting systemic racism and police brutality in Toronto. As a co-founder of the Black Action Defence Committee (BADC), he played a pivotal role in holding institutions accountable and pushing for justice reforms that still protect Black communities today. His relentless activism led to the creation of Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU), ensuring independent oversight of law enforcement.⁣ Laws’ legacy is a powerful reminder that change is possible through collective action and unwavering determination.⁣ Be bold. Be beautiful. Be brilliant. Live your life. Leave your legacy. Make your MARK.

I Shine, U Shine When you show your divine light — and someone says, “I shine, U shine” — we’re exchanging something powerful. We’re glowing together, and you can feel the divine light moving between us. No one is better than anyone else. Together, we shine brighter. Sometimes we forget the light we carry until a simple word or gesture reminds us. When we recognize each other’s light, we all stand stronger, glow louder, and move better — together. Don’t let anyone dull your shine or shake your confidence. Stay true to your standards, your principles, and your purpose. You’re here for a reason. Shine bright. Leave your mark. Live it. Wear it.

RISE & GRIND: Stay true to your vision and never stop creating — leave your MARK. Your unique story is your strength, so embrace it fully. Build relationships, stay curious, and don’t be afraid to fail or take risks — every challenge is an opportunity to grow. Be Boundless. Humility is a quality I always look for in others, and I believe it’s one of the greatest characteristics a person can have. No matter what’s going on around you, it’s always important to stay humble and true to yourself. I’ve been blessed and love how the universe conspires to make my blessings come true. I can’t believe it’s been one year since I was acknowledged in Scarborough for receiving my star in Arts and Culture — and I still continue to shine brighter for my community. Thank you, Sheridan College, for acknowledging me once again and for your support in making the Alumni Alley project a success. I’m so proud to be featured as part of Sheridan’s alumni community. So today, embrace the journey — focus on the good, trust the process, and never stop believing in your ability to leave your MARK. Be you. Be boundless. Live it. Wear it. With purpose.. . 📸 @tonyxtones @sheridanalumni @sheridanbruinsmbb @sheridanbruins @scarboroughwalkoffameofficial

Rise & Grind – “Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.” – Norman Cousins My heart is still heavy as I send this message. On Sunday, March 30th, our beloved brother @bishopbrigante passed away, surrounded by family and close friends, after a long battle with colorectal cancer. I still remember in 2003 when I had the incredible opportunity to create branding for the Awesome collective, where Bishop was one of the featured artists—alongside projects like Big Black Lincoln and @kingreignthe1st There are no words that can fully summarize Bishop’s contributions to the Toronto hip-hop scene, but his impact on the Scarborough community as a whole is legendary. He was one of the most optimistic, caring, and warm-hearted people —a true definition of an entrepreneurial spirit. Thank you, Bishop, for allowing me to have that personal one on one interview. Shout out to @djmercilless for filming this monumental moment. —I still get goosebumps every time I watch it. Our last conversation was so necessary for both of us. Even when you weren’t well, you made it your mission to be of service to me. You touched so many lives, Your presence will be deeply missed. Let’s spread hope, fight for a cure, advocate for others, and push for changes in healthcare. If we can create something good from these stories, we are teaching our kids, our friends, our families, and our community that purpose can be found even in the hardest moments—even in cancer. Bishop made it his mission to raise awareness about colorectal cancer and the need to lower the screening age, so this type of cancer can be detected earlier. The biggest increase in cases is among young adults under 40 in Canada—let alone under 45 in the U.S. Bishop even brought this issue to the Canadian Parliament, pushing for real change. I send my deepest condolences to his wife Mel, his son Lito and all of Bishop’s family and friends. Rest in Power. Nickolas ‘@bishopbrigante ’ Parra – The Ends will never End. Prevention is always better than the cure.

Life is not promised. Every morning we wake up is a blessing. Rest easy, my beloved Scarborough Legend, @bishopbrigante We shall not forget you—we shall not forget the memories. Not now, not ever. Thank you for this profound and impactful video we shared last year and for being a beacon of hope and change in our world. Rest in peace, my brother. We must give people their flowers before they transition—this is a must. We never know when God will call our number. All we have is now. This month, I urge you to take the time to check in on and support your loved ones. Honor and cherish your family and friends while you still have the chance. #givingflowers

RISE & GRIND: I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but authenticity is everything. There was a time when I let others dim my light—convinced that hiding was safer than shining. But here’s the truth: when you dim your light, you’re not just hiding—you’re denying the world the gift of your true, authentic self. Don’t be afraid to show up as the real you. Embrace your individuality, and never doubt the power of authenticity in any space you enter. You don’t need to fit into anyone’s mold or play a role to be accepted. The world needs you—your quirks, your strengths, your imperfections. When you embrace who you truly are, you attract the right people and opportunities. So, let go of the pressure to be someone else. You are more than enough—exactly as you are. Keep spreading your light… and reach out to those still in the darkness. Be bold. Be beautiful. Be brilliant. Live your life. Leave your legacy. Make your MARK. #BeAuthentic #beboudless

To my beloved brother @bishopbrigante I just wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to you, My Brother. The power of the tongue and the thoughts we think are very real, and you embody that truth so effortlessly. Your ability to speak truth to power and channel your struggles into something transformative is nothing short of inspirational. A year ago, I had the privilege of interviewing you and using positive adjectives to describe who you are. The response was outstanding and truly hit home—it was a testament to the power of manifestation and the strength you carry within. Your unwavering dedication to serving and giving back to the community with humility and grace is something so rare and genuine. But what truly stands out when I see you is your optimism about the future and your relentless drive to impact people’s lives. Your perseverance speaks volumes about your character, and I thank you for allowing me the opportunity to share your story. Keep going! You don’t have to follow the same path as everyone else. Express your individual uniqueness—that’s how you’ll continue to stand out from the masses. Not only is it okay to be different, it’s the only way you were meant to be. Just know, My Brother, I believe in who you are and all that you’re becoming. Your journey continues to inspire me, and I am here, supporting you every step of the way. With all my respect and encouragement, Mark
