I was always afraid that the bigger my shows got the further away I physically got from the people that came to listen to me. It felt like an inevitable. With Live From, I can still have the intimate shows that made me love performing in the first place. Live From Brussels is out because of my love for the art of live albums. I studied D’Angelo’s Live from Stockholm for years and if someone was to study my live album the same I would’ve done my job.
