It’s Hispanic Heritage month and with everything going on in the world I want to make sure I make a statement for my people. Many people don’t know that I am Mexican American. My parents and grandparents are from Mexico. I’m doing this for them and all the people who are afraid to speak up. I don’t have much to lose, and I will always go down fighting for my family, friends and culture. When I was younger I was always told Im not Mexican because of my pale skin, my spanish wasn’t strong, and because I didn’t struggle. I may not have experienced the struggle because I was fortunate enough to be born in the U.S! However, that doesn’t dismiss my Mexican culture. I understand that I have so much privilege and with that I want to use my privilege to its full potential. I will use my pale skin y también mi español to defend them. I will always speak up, stand up, and fight! No tengo miedo estoy lista‼️🇲🇽🗣️ I want to give a huge thank you to my Aunty who helped write “Conozca Tus Derechos” And to @lissticks who made my vision come to life!
