Fort Wayne — thank you.
Joseph Schwantner’s Concerto for Percussion and Orchestra continues to be one of the most expansive works I get to live inside. Color, resonance, physicality — it demands everything and gives just as much back.
Deep thanks to the @fwphil , the percussion section, and everyone who filled the hall.
Moments like this stay with you. Onward ♡

Lisa Pegher is an American percussion soloist and drummer whose international career has helped redefine percussion as a solo art form within the orchestral world and beyond. She has dedicated her work to commissioning, premiering, and creating new repertoire that brings percussion to the front of the stage. She has been praised by The New York Times as “tremendous,” by The Boston Globe as “forcefully balletic,” and by The Glass as “more than just a drummer—an alchemist of time, sound, and space.

April 10–11 | Fort Wayne Philharmonic Joseph Schwantner — Concerto for Percussion and Orchestra
This piece has stayed with me for years. It’s one of the most demanding and expressive works in our repertoire, and I’m looking forward to bringing it back to the stage in Fort Wayne.

Opening the Winnipeg New Music Festival's Sunrise program with Jennifer Higdon's Percussion Concerto was a meaningful artistic marker within an extraordinary week of music-making.
This performance came to life through the shared musical commitment of conductor, Daniel Raiskin, the @wpgsymphony , and the curators and composers featured on the program. Full review → linked in comments
A.I. Rhythm Evolution: A milestone moment performing this show to a sold-out house in @studiolabxr 's fully immersive HD environment.
In collaboration with @icebergnewmusic , the project brings percussion, live electronics, real-time visuals and generative systems into dialogue – tracing rhythm from its physical roots into new evolving forms.
Grateful to Drake Andersen, @vincentianxing , and the @wnmfestival for the trust, care and space to bring this work fully to life.

"If you want to have the best shot at anything, you'll need to work hard for it, train for it, practice, master it, and be willing to let it all go. Then; let it all go.
Begin again, and go even further.
Repeat for infinity." ♾️
POV: Found this spot running through Liberty Park and arrived at this view, it made me reflect on life's struggles and how the journey always serves to widen perspective even when we can't always see it. #grateful
"Peace Offering"
This sculpture looked so beautiful this morning, as if holding up all of #nyc
