Happy spring pledge drive eve to one of the most important stations in my life, WYXR 91.7 FM💛
Since its founding, so many of my favorite memories have happened because of this place. It’s a small but mighty team of people who truly believe in the power of music and community, and I’m in awe every time I tune in. Behind the scenes, they’re juggling volunteer DJs, chasing down grants, planning events, and doing the real work of preserving and celebrating Memphis culture.
My days are genuinely better with the radio turned up, whether I’m driving around the city or just hanging at home. You truly never know what you’re going to get when you hit that dial, and that’s exactly what makes it so special.
I’m really honored to help kick off the spring pledge drive through the Get Buck challenge. I’m up against three incredibly cool, brilliant, and badass women, and we’re all trying to set the tone for a big week of support.

I didn’t think it would be this soon that you would receive your angel wings. I thought that you would be one of those cats that lives to be 20 years old and had a face to tell all about it. Looking at your photos, you still have that inquisitive and innocent look in your eyes like you did when you were a kitten.
It’s true when they say there’s no greater pal than a cat you adopt in your 20s. You observed and cuddled me through break ups, falling in love, a global pandemic, job changes, job losses, moving, and making new friends. You adored David as much as I do, comforting and giving him giggles each day. He loved you so much.
You will always be my bubba, doo doo k, cheese brain, and special boy. When I close my eyes I’ll see that familiar face and feel your purrs on my head. I love you sweetest pea. See you on the other side of that rainbow bridge ♥️
My sweetest cheese, big boi, lil one, burrata belly shweety baby went to the vet in the middle of the night for emergency surgery 😿 Kenny’s on the mend now but could be days before he’s back in the house and assuming all of his usual snuggling positions. My head was extra cold this morning not having his fluffy body taking up 3/4 of my pillow. Anyway, lots of love for this guy who makes our house a home. Love on your fur babies always 💞
