In 2025, two people I care deeply about were diagnosed with leukemia. One of them is Kate Dawson.
She was diagnosed in March 2025 and underwent a bone marrow transplant that August - made even more emotional and extraordinary because her 13-year-old son was her donor. Watching her go through that journey was incredibly hard, but also incredibly inspiring. Thankfully, she is now doing great and is cancer-free. ❤️
One organization that made a real difference for her was Blood Cancer United (formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society). They showed up immediately after her diagnosis with financial support and resources, and they stood by Kate and her family during some of the most difficult moments. They even invited her to be part of their rebranding campaign last September, which turned into a really meaningful and healing experience.
Now, Kate has been nominated for Visionary of the Year by Blood Cancer United. As part of this honor, she’s leading a 10-week fundraising campaign, and I’m so grateful to be part of her team!
When she asked me to join, she shared that this nomination isn’t just about recognition - it’s about giving back to an organization that supported her when she needed it most, and helping others who are facing similar battles.
If you feel moved to support, I’ve included the donation link below. Every dollar truly makes a difference. Each year, approximately 190,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with blood cancer - that’s one person every three minutes. Globally, there are about 1.24 million new cases annually.
Kate’s goal is $33,000 (the number 3 has taken on a special meaning for her), and we’re already close to $20,000 - which is amazing! We’re hopeful we can get her all the way there.
I would be so grateful for any support, and I know Kate would be too. ❤️

Garrett’s Going Gray!!! (and bought some pretty fabulous wigs😉)
FYI, these shots were taken by my dear high school buddy who’s looking to get into headshot photography. He is offering a “Friends of Garrett” special! DM me for info😉
Not only did they cancel Jimmy Kimmel, but they are bribing him to give money to Charlie, Kirk’s family and foundation!!!
This on top of a letter going out to Families with 14-year-olds to join the military.( in my story)
They are doing everything they said they would!!!
And i am also horrified by the pomp and circumstance King Charles put on for him. Like he’s afraid of him!
For now, we should all cancel another “subscription”. There is power in the purse.

Arrrghhh!
I hate this world we live in. I would go back to churning butter and mail pigeons if I could.
