Djing Coachella feels like a fever dream✨ Ivan & I would always watch Coachella livestreams & I would say imagine if I djed Coachella … haha I never thought it would become a reality. 🥹 Especially for a girl with BPI disability 😭 I was nervous as all hell djing next to the best djs and artist from @beatcinema but I can safely say I bought it! Yesterday I woke up and felt very overwhelmed. I had to host a Popup. I cried and wanted to cancel but pulled my self together. I got up ate and got ready and left to the event. I cried in the way thinking about this was the day 6 years ago that I spent the best last day with sean. I wiped my tears went to work and did the whole thing. It was so great to be around good creative people. But I couldn’t get out of my funk. I drank and got too buzzy and fell asleep. I woke up at 4am n had so much anger. I woke up from a really bad pain in my arm(more pain then usual. I went down a rabbit hole of hating myself. Feeling useless and tired. The optimism that I will heal went another direction. I thought about how I’m not myself this new person is more bitter and overly insecure. I said to myself why am I here? Why did I survive?Why do I have to live in so much pain? I then hugged my fiancé and it was clear. This was my rebirth I’m not me the old one at least. I’m better then that person I’m humble, more aware and wants to make a difference. I’ve showed this amazing man a whole new world and showed me that I can love again. I have the cutest dog. A great family and the greatest friends. I can work again and curate events to bring community. I’m not useless. I have a lot to offer and I have the greatest partner by my side to support and help me. I’m happy to be here. Pain sucks but I’m glad to be here to walk my sister down the aisle and see my nieces and nephew grow up. To see My niece graduate highschool. I’ve experienced so much more then I ever have and I’m so grateful for it. Thank you universe for giving me a second life!
