Most of September was still spent in the hometown, starting each day with crossword puzzles over breakfast. I am very bad at crossword puzzles. Hung out as much as I could with my little Fuchur (Falkor) who just turned 13 🐶 Stole some apples, enjoyed some little trips and local culture with the fam and got to see my dear Eva getting married 🤍
Returned to Tokyo just in time for Higanbana season and my birthday 😌
Photo dump for August 2025; aka traveling to Mongolia, back to Tokyo, and then to Germany; aka the beginning of 6 weeks without @adityatori 💔
Everything is always too short; i want to spend many more weeks traveling under the eternal blue sky (though nutritionally I was really hitting my limit as a vegetarian 🥲🌱); and the year should have twice as many days so that I can also take unlimited walks with the pupperino 🐕 through these hometown fields that used to bore me to death 20ish years ago. Something something about the price you have to pay about loving people in more than one place. ❣️
July 2025 was filled with even more relentless cawing by the crow children (look at the second slide, you can still see a hint of blue in the eyes and pink at the corners of the beak; both signs of a fledgling 🐦⬛🍼 ).
Main events: Open Campus at Musabi, a very good houseparty and me catching the Rona for the first tike ever 🤒
Of course i didn’t manage to post all the 2025 photo dumps before the year ended but early January is so liminal anyway and I declare it to be fine. Anyway, here’s June: @dolphin.dolphout 🐬 graced our home with a visit, so there was much great food and 街歩き. Love: The Soundwalk Collective and Patti Smith exhibit at @mot_museum_art_tokyo 🌫️ Went geocaching for the first time with @apolotary 💎 took the train to Izu again, put on yukata with the girlies and joined Itō’s first ever pride parade 🏳️🌈 It was the month when our crows started bringing their babies who caused a noisy ruckus every day 🐦⬛ and the parents celebrated Mama’s birthday with a trip to Tyrol and sent very wholesome pictures with their new friend 🐈
Also, June is rainy season which always makes for some delicious migraines so please enjoy a rare candid mid-attack selfie ✌️

May felt like 3 months crammed into one. Flying to Jakarta to finally see the family again, doing a very proper photoshoot and feeding all the neighborhood stray cats in our free time 🐈 Returning to Japan and spending a beautiful, kimono-themed weekend in Ito organized by @inkimono 👘 Back in Tokyo, my seminar organized a collaborative event/ exhibit together with students from école supérieure d’art d’Avignon at Institut français de Tokyo ✍️ All of this happened before May 20 and as there are few pictures for the rest of the month I suppose the (joyful) exhaustion put me into hibernation 🦥
April 2025 was evidently heavily kimono-themed. We finished our kitsuke class with @kimonolessons_hana at @inkimonoplus (please enjoy the little glimpse at taiko musubi struggle nation 🪢) and I finally found the courage to go out in kimono more 👘 it was of course Sakura season so the dancing pink dots were everywhere 🌸 had a cute date with @tokidokitraveller including a miniature locomotive ride 🚂 @linda_luo turned out to be a prodigy at retro arcade games 🕹️, I went to see the solo exhibitions of @paul.grassl 🏠 and @naydeity 🌈 and had a lovely catchup with my favorite Irishman @alexigraph ☘️🐶 @adityatori peaced out to Indonesia and I ended the month with following him just a couple days later 🇮🇩
March came in like a lion, out like a lamb ☁️🌸
Went to see @niklasviola ‘s work exhibited at @thenationalartcentertokyo 🌫️ enjoyed the girliest picnic organized by actual fairy @_rosabunny 🪷 had a kimono dressing experience at @kimonolessons_hana and also went out the first time ever in a very imperfect kitsuke 👘 had a cozy coffee date with @thejapanstagram 🎀 and got treated to the home cooked dinner to end all home cooked dinners by @z3zr0z and @ilovegraphics 🍲 highlight of the month: bae @adityatori taking me to see @officialjackwhite at Toyosu Pit ❤️🔥
February was a quiet month as indicated by my very sparse camera roll. The weather was weird (including, somehow, a sandstorm?) and I struggled with migraines a lot, so still I spent a lot of time in Stardew Valley. There were some pleasures tho: a birthday party, new friends, getting better at kitsuke, and absolutely annihilating Ugi at bowling 😌
January photodump. Still spending time in Hessen with the family, celebrating Papa’s birthday, getting comfy in my uncle’s ghibliesque kitchen, and going down many a memory lane. Cassie will be turning 13 this year and is still racing around like a little puppy. Fingers crossed that she will make it to at least 26 🥹 Way too much time spent with Stardew Valley and returning to Tokyo just in time for the graduation exhibition.
Always so many memories I mean to share and THEN I DONT. So I’m gonna end 2025 with a year’s worth of photodumps, starting with December 2024 🎄
Spending quality time with loved ones in Hessen, Berlin, Halle and with those who have already moved on into the next realm 🤍🪽 missing the fam cause it’s gonna be a Tokyo Christmas this year.
