Vale the great Shane MacGowan. I absolutely loved painting this portrait of Shane in 2017. So much character in his face, life and work. My father is a big fan of The Pogues and introduced me to his music quite early in my life, so it meant a great deal to be asked to paint this work ā„ļø @shanemacgowanofficial #shanemacgowan #thepogues #lisadottore

My painting āIn Reach Of No Manā SOLD
Im absolutely thrilled to announce I have some work in this spectacular show!
Many of you may not be aware Iāve suffered an injury thatās put me out of action for the last 6 months. I have been unsure if Iād ever be able to paint again or in the way I know how. Iāve been slowly figuring out a new way to do things with the help of my fantastic medical team and have managed to pull together something for this show. I couldnāt be more excited to show my support, with so many incredible artists, and celebrate @mindsnare a band I have loved seeing for about 27 of those 30 years!
To coincide with Mindsnareās 30 year anniversary shows in Melbourne, we are proud to announce Total Overload; a group art show of Mindsnare-inspired works by over 40 Australian artists.
With the blessing of Mindsnare, Total Overload is organised and curated by Callum Preston & Patrick Galvin as a āfor the fans, by the fansā initiative. As creatives, Preston & Galvin wanted to recognise the impact and influence of the band. 30 years of being a band is a massive achievement, and as tribute, artists from all over Australia, across a variety of mediums, have made the time to produce amazing, Mindsnare-related works; all for sale at the show. The exhibition will also feature personal archival items from the band.
Opens Friday, Oct 6th, 5-8pm
Saturday, Oct 7th, 3-8pm
Sunday, Oct 8th from 12-4pm
On The Corner Gallery: 82 Stanley St Collingwood.
The show is made possible with the support of @otcbytrueeast@shoutoutloudprint@balterbrewers@heapsnormal@callumpreston@hollowbonesco

Iāve recently come into possession of my old drawing folio of work from my Art School days between 1996-1998. Most people arenāt aware that I never studied painting, Iām mostly self taught in that department but what I did actually major in was Printmaking and Jewellery. Where I did build all my foundations and love of portraiture were in my life drawing classes š¤
Iām currently setting up a new studio space so am selling off some pieces Iāve held onto. I will post them in my stories for anyone interested in purchasing. Feel free to DM with any enquires š
