Welcome to our enchanting evening, celebrating the upcoming launch of @theshadestore x @studiomcgee collection! The vision was based on an organic, magical forest feel, so naturally we built a 34ft flower wall on a rooftop. We made custom napkins, table cloths, an impressive 40ft runner and wrapped flats with her new fabric collection (which is DIVINE)…you must check it out June 6th when it officially launches in stores!

It’s hard to believe it was a little over a year ago that FOX SPORTS celebrated USWNT Legacy Alex Morgan with the “Liberty Alex: Statue Tour.” This was created to promote the network’s national coverage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 for the U.S. team.
You never know what will get thrown your way in this business and I was grateful to collaborate on this project from the beginning stages. Originally, she was requested to be 10ft, but this seemed underwhelming from an art perspective, as one intent would be for fans to have a photo moment, and they would block her by standing in front at that scale.
After months of development and pricing out options, we landed at 20ft and 825lbs with a larger, custom base to achieve the grand gesture. Her oversized body was made of reinforced and hard coated foam. We 3D printed resin for the head and trophy and of course our wonderful team of sculptors, painters and visual effects makeup artists completed her realistic look in less than a month.
Liberty Alex toured nationally, so we also had a custom container formatted to protect her on the road. So much goes into the BTS of these projects. It truly takes a village.

When Director @thatjordanbrady called to collaborate about the Production Design for this project, we immediately aligned on “Greening the Set”, a practice that is nothing new to True Gentleman Industries.
Building with sustainable practices is evolving to a higher standard in our industry, and the art department is here for it! We are excited to share some favorite Art Department moments in sourcing recycled and reclaimed items for this set.
@recycledsets in Los Angeles, who specializes in renting donated flats and scenery from other productions, was my first call. It truly is ‘one man’s trash is another’s treasure’. As a designer, you can reinvent existing pieces to achieve your environment along with the much-needed brand identity, and that’s exactly what we did. They are so wonderful and accommodating with challenging schedules!
Everything was sourced from individual sellers, thrift shops or some of our favorite prop rental houses. Outside of some packaging, we did not have any plastic on set. The boxes from some necessary online orders were used as our paint tarps. All of the towels you see were donated after the shoot to dog shelters with the help from our Production Coordinator.
It’s a beautiful thing when we share our stories and inspire others to think in a new way.

BTS - “See Her x Dove Cameron”
So there’s only a few things we need right? Should be an easy shop, right?? Everything is available and mood board is approved - should be easy to tag and pick up, right??
Well, 3 hours later, @aimeekristiine finally finds said mirror, which was buried in a corner at the prop shop and painted WHITE by someone and it wasn’t updated on the inventory when we pitched it! She found it because she noticed the legs behind all the other stuff piled up in front of it 😂😂
So, art department naturally finds the solution with a metallic paint party on the truck so we can deliver, as we do!
Sometimes the most straight forward or “easy” things are not. But needless to say, we restored her and it looked better than ever!!
