AVA MENDOZA is a Brooklyn-based guitarist, singer, songwriter and composer. Best known for her solo guitar and vocal performances, and as the leader of the experimental rock band Unnatural Ways, she has received critical acclaim for her guitar work's compelling combination of technical virtuosity and visceral impact. In any context she is committed to bringing expressivity, energy and a wide sonic range to the music.
Mendoza has toured throughout the U.S. and Europe and recorded/performed with musicians including Carla Bozulich, Malcolm Mooney (CAN), Bill Orcutt, Abiodun Oyewole (Last Poets), Mike Watt, Adele Bertei, Mick Barr, William Hooker, Nels Cline, Matana Roberts, John Zorn, Jamaaladeen Tacuma, Fred Frith, William Parker, Hamid Drake, John Zorn, ROVA, Negativland, the Violent Femmes, and members of Caroliner.
Recordings are available on labels Tzadik, Astral Spirits, Weird Forest, Clean Feed, Resipiscent, and New Atlantis. She was featured as one of Guitar World‘s “10 Female Guitarists You Should Know.”

當溫哥華新即興音樂運動（New Improvisational Movement）的先鋒鋼琴，遇上台灣土地的發酵聲響，這是一場跨越地理與聲學維度的深層對話。
擁有豐富國際合作經驗、被譽為溫哥華新即興浪潮領航者的 Lisa Cay Miller，將帶著她極具建築感的鋼琴語彙，以當代領航者的姿態，將鋼琴化為抽象的聲學建築，在極簡與複雜的織度間解構琴鍵體系，與深耕微觀能量與土地記憶的 李欣芫 展開對話，透過「發酵（Hoat-kàⁿ）」計畫，將物質底層的流動能量轉化為土地與記憶的獨白。而 林楷育 藉由科學物件進行的跨物種聲響回應，捕捉生物與非生物間的微觀溝通，以及 戴孜嬣 實驗中提琴的聲學介入，共同拆解物質表層的視聽疆界。
這是在國際樂壇舉足輕重的作曲家與致力於物質流動的跨界藝術家之間的集結。他們共同在即興框架下，共同拆解聲音邊界，在實驗室與音樂廳的交界處，創造一場關於重生的聲響盛宴。我們邀請您在現場聽見麴母生長、鋼琴共鳴與科學儀器之間的交錯演論，感受聲音如何從土地動能中，再生出一個全新的身體。
A profound dialogue transcending geography and acoustics: where the architectural piano of Vancouver’s New Improvisational Movement meets the bio-energetic vitality of Taiwan’s soil.
This performance investigates the threshold between organic growth and systematic deconstruction. By interweaving open-ended systems, the ensemble stages a convergence of geological energy and structural sound.
Lisa Cay Miller, a leading figure in contemporary improvisation, treats the piano as an abstract acoustic architecture. By deconstructing the keyboard system within a spectrum of minimalist and complex textures, she utilizes improvisation as an open-ended system to explore the structural potential of the instrument. In parallel, Cia Himiân Lí translates the metabolic flow of her "Fermentation (Hoat-kàn)" project into a sonic manifestation of entropy, capturing the energetic currents beneath the material surface as a monologue of ecology and memory.
Lin Kai-Yu modulates the system through scientific instruments, deploying calibrated tools as media for cross-species performance. Capturing microscopic feedback between biological and mechanical entities alongside Tai Zih-Ning’s tactile viola, the ensemble peels back the material layers of sound.

La pianista canadiense Lisa Cay Miller, directora de la Sociedad NOW, desató su genialidad compositiva al piano. Junto a ella, el saxofonista mexicano Adriano, reconocido por su trayectoria visceral en el circuito del free jazz, sumó su genialidad en una sesión de energía pura al margen del lenguaje musical.
Lisa Cay Miller (ella), pianista y compositora, vive y compone música en los territorios no cedidos de las naciones Musqueam, Squamish y Tsleil-Waututh, en el lugar conocido como Vancouver, Canadá. Miller improvisa y compone para muchos grandes músicos de todo el mundo. La exploración sonora, a través de técnicas extendidas en el piano y de la apertura, así como la reunión de la comunidad, son fundamentales para su práctica.

Lisa Cay Miller pianista y compositora. Vive y hace música en los territorios no cedidos de las naciones Musqueam, Squamish y Tsleil-Waututh. “La pianista Miller radicada en Vancouver, merece ser considerada una de las principales figuras del nuevo movimiento de "improvisación libre" del mundo. Miller ha actuado con grandes músicos de todo el mundo, entre ellos Satoko Fujii, Adriana Camancho, Luke Stewart, Ken Vandermark, Nicole Mitchell, Butch Morris, Ingrid Laubrock, por mencionar algunos.
Es directora artística de la Sociedad NOW, organizando y dirigiendo eventos de música improvisada, talleres e iniciativas comunitarias en Vancouver. Su música la puedes encontrar en cualquier plataforma. Andriano: Saxofonista mexicano dedicado al free jazz y a la Improvisación libre con dos décadas de trayectoria. Se considera uno de los saxofonistas más viscerales de este lenguaje musical del mundo. Ha tocado con músicos importantes de la escena como: Peter Uuskylla, Elliott Levin, Marco Eneidi, Naima Karlsson, Germán Bringas, Remi Álvarez, Aram Shelton, Phillip Greenlief, entre otros. Se presenta principalmente en Café Jazzorca y foros exclusivamente para este tipo de expresiones musicales subterráneas.
