This week at Liquid Movement A full week of yoga, pilates and sound, with a few very exciting returns and additions to the schedule. We’re so happy to welcome Francesca @mineral.yoga back after hosting a beautiful retreat in Mexico, and Linda @linda_martinuzzo back from completing yoga teacher training in India. We’ve really missed their energy in the space and can’t wait to have them back teaching this week. We’re also launching a new 4-week pop-up series with Kat Mucha: Lower Body Mobility Flow - a dynamic class focused on strength, mobility, and fluid movement through the hips and lower body. @yogikkat Whether you’re looking to build strength, slow down, reconnect, or simply carve out an hour for yourself, there’s something waiting for you here this week. New here? Try everything with our intro offer - £35 for 7 days unlimited. Book via our website or the Liquid Movement app.

Me n my beloved red resistance band are going on tour with @liquid_mvmt - Lower body mobility, every Saturday until 13th June // 10-11.15am - An intensive on June 13th //3-5pm (link in bio) A lot of what I’ll be sharing comes from rebuilding my own practice after multiple hip injuries arrived to humble me all at once. The result: a somewhat aggressive overanalysis of bio mechanics, movement patterns, and the strange commitment many of us have to forcing ourselves into shapes we aren’t quite ready for. Because it turns out stretching deeper is often not the answer. Sometimes your body simply wants a different route into the shape. Sometimes it wants strength. Sometimes it wants you to stop mindlessly forcing folds your anatomy was never particularly excited about in the first place. Anyway. Anatomical nuance🤝🏼movement has become something I care about deeply. Excited to share it :))

Satya means truth. Not just honesty with others but what you’re willing to acknowledge within yourself. Saying yes when you mean no. Telling yourself you’re fine when you’re not. Pushing through something that doesn’t feel right because it’s easier than facing it. In a fast-moving place like London, it’s easy to stay busy enough to avoid that check-in altogether. But from a psychological perspective, what you avoid doesn’t disappear. It just shows up differently, as tension, stress, or a quiet sense that something is off. Practicing satya isn’t about being brutally honest or tearing things apart. It’s about becoming more accurate with yourself and letting that awareness guide what comes next. #satya #yogalondon #selfawareness #somaticpractice #nervoussystem liquidmovement

Yoga Beyond The Mat | Ahimsa: Non-violence. Traditionally, it’s about how we treat others. But in modern life, it often shows up in how we treat ourselves. Pushing through when your body is asking you to slow down. Overriding pain because it doesn’t feel “important enough.” Feeling like you haven’t done enough, even when you’re exhausted. Speaking to yourself in ways you’d never speak to anyone else. This kind of pressure is so normalised, especially in a city like London, that we rarely question it. But from a psychological perspective, this isn’t discipline. It’s a pattern of disconnection. Practicing ahimsa doesn’t mean becoming passive or doing less. It means noticing where you’re being unnecessarily harsh with yourself and choosing something different. #ahimsa #yogalondon #selfawareness #nervoussystem #somaticpractice liquidmovement
