This was Video Visions, it’s one of the few remaining VHS stores in the world and it’s in my town, Chatham NY. The longtime owner and collector, Steve, died last year and last month the store went up for sale. The collections has over 25,000 movies, many of which are out of print and never made it to digital media. For this last month I’ve been trying to convince Steve’s brother, the current owner to try and preserve the space or the collection. Neither happened. It’s hard when things are left in hands that want to wrap up complicated things conveniently. It’s pretty fucking depressing. Today the last box of tapes was packed. Buyer unknown.

Longtime listeners know that every winter I make a salve for cold weather fortitude. This year BDS(M) is made in collaboration with my band Triggers. This blend includes canna**s for relief and @earthen_rot collected comfrey from @julesgimbrone ‘s back yard for windburn, scratches, scrapes and everything surface level. The entire proceeds of this year’s salve will go to @palshield an American-Palestinian org that provides life saving and defensive supplies to protect Palestinian farmers and communities from settler violence.
