Marina Abramovic ( @abramovicinstitute ) says that a female artist cannot be a mother if she wants to reach the highest levels. When I was starting, I tried to follow the rules of the art world just to fit in and hid many identities of mine. Now I walk in with my children by my side because they are part of every piece I make. I am who I am because of them. As a single mother, they taught me resilience, commitment, responsibility, and problem-solving skills, so I can continue creating without losing who I am. For some time, I hid parts of myself—queer, single mother, immigrant.
No more.

This is what happens when I surrender to the chaos of thoughts.
I become it.
Body.
Movement.
Touch.
Thought.
A full emerging experience.
Available.
Grateful to @rudyduboue 📸
The multilayered chaos of identities may cause confusion, solitude, and also an explosive force to create.
Immigrant.
Single mother.
Survivor.
Queer.
The list goes on…
Art goes on.
Life goes on.
We go on.
Happy Monday.
Sincere thank you @rudyduboue for all the images
Liora Redman is a contemporary artist whose journey is as evocative as her work. Born in Zelenokumsk, Russia, she spent her early years amidst the vast silence and expansive skies of rural Kazakhstan—a landscape that continues to imbue her art with a quiet power and introspection. Now Miami-based, Redman employs her distinctive visual language to explore themes of identity, womanhood, single motherhood, and queer expression, using intimate self-portraits and bold canvases that reflect both personal and universal narratives.
Her artistic path has taken her from Eastern Europe to Moscow, where she set out at age 17 to pursue her creative dreams, and later to New York City in search of unfettered expression. This journey—marked by the challenges of societal expectations and the liberation found through art—has culminated in works that are both emotionally rich and visually arresting. Redman’s oeuvre resonates with those who appreciate art that reflects resilience and the continuous quest for self-discovery.
Beyond her evocative personal expression, Redman has carved out a significant presence in the art world where collectors and art enthusiasts discover her unique narratives distilled into every brushstroke. Her work is a testament to the power of art as a means to transform personal struggles into universal dialogue. @lioraredman

So much noice in the world, in the mind. Chain of random thoughts.
Chaos.
Movement and liberation through paint, hands, brushes.
I create.
I see you, I see me. Love.
To meet my purest self I make love with the paint…
Thank you @rudyduboue for holding the safe space for me where I could be present in exploring and liberating myself from the limitations games that my mind interacts with.
