学生の頃は、クラスメイトのお誕生日カードを描いたり、友達のノートをデコレーションさせてもらったり、文化祭のパンフレットや、先輩・先生に色紙を描いたり、、自分の手で描く機会をたくさんもらって楽しんで🎵やっていました💖
当たり前に思っていたけど描かせてくれた友達クラスメイト先輩のみなさまほんとにありがとう😭❣️
最近はそんな機会が少なくなってきているように感じていました〜、、が今回こうやってまた相手を思って招待状を描けてとってもうれしく、楽しみです！！

After finished longest national holiday week in Tokyo, guest was coming to our studio for furoshiki workshop and had lovely time together.
Always feel happy to see when guests finds how furoshiki is such a functional and beautiful item with their smile :)

Last summer in Kyoto at Hakuchikudo, a fan maker with 300 years of history.
The space felt frozen in time and the craft, unchanged. That’s where I decided to make these fans using fabric that had no other place to go.
New patterns, little by little, season by season.
去年の夏、京都の300年企業、白竹堂を訪れました。タイムスリップした様な空間と数々の扇子たち。
絶対にここで、”もったいない” 布を使って扇子を作ろうと決めました。
本物は写真より綺麗です！
これから少しずつ、ご紹介していきます。

Back at Ohazama-san’s studio in Fukushima this weekend.
Surrounded by crafts worth preserving, decades of accumulated time, and threads left unused, spent time talking with him about what can still be made today.
Using the machines that remain and the materials available now, we continue to explore what is possible, slowly and carefully.
