Our busy lives are marked by the company and calendars we keep, yet the sweetest memories are often found in soft moments between. Summer held in a slice of salt-sprinkled tomato. The lull of waves on a warm day. Getting lost in a book under a shady tree.
Linger retreats honor the slow richness of these moments, and unhurried exploration. They are a chance to sink into place, to leave space for connection — with others, within yourself, with the rhythms of a world both familiar and new.
Whether you’re lounging by the pool, joining gentle movement under the trees, wandering cobbled streets, or sharing meals with new friends, every Linger retreat invites you to indulge in life’s simple pleasures.
Imagine dinner among the olive trees, beneath a canopy of stars. Conversation flowing like water.
Our signature alfresco dinners transform each meal into a celebration. For six unhurried nights, surrender to the joy of connection, nourishment, and being completely present.

Kayla Powers’ artist residency in Cape Town held us all in the happy in between of childlike wonder and the pleasure of being present in a place and in our senses.
Time felt suspended during her botanical dye workshop. We foraged under the trees and created color on cotton and silk, surrounded by the mountains. Truly a time we didn’t want to end, and the gifts of her practice and art are still finding their way into our days. An acorn tells more than one story, and every color can surprise.

We are down to our very last room for Mallorca this August–September. Five nights in a 14th century Templar monastery, mountains behind you, the sea ahead, connecting and creating with women around the table. If this is calling you, get in touch with us.
A truly special time with a small private group in Puglia last week, captured by the talented @francesmarais . We’re returning beyond excited to welcome you all to Provence and Mallorca.
Provence is entirely sold out, and we’re down to our very last room in Mallorca. Linger with us this year, before the chance slips away.
Still keen on a sold out retreat? DM us to sign up for the waitlists for 2026 and 2027.

I remember driving up to our accommodation thinking to myself how on earth am I going to manage to relax and accept this care in amongst so much that is happening. For the last few years it has felt difficult to feel deserving of such things. “It feels foolish to pause and marvel at the stars when the world is burning”. The final day of my stay I found myself in a deep sigh of relief and tears; not wanting to leave; feeling more held than I had in a long time. I had fallen totally into the care, the loving arms of our hosts and the people I had met. My eyes open to the simplicity and beauty of the little moments of joy around me. Our evenings now rituals ; Every conversation a keepsake. Moments I will cherish and hold dear to me for years to come. Thank you @linger.with
“To bear witness to the beautiful is not
to be conflated with escapism or
naivete. It is a deep form of survival
inherited from our ancestors.
In a time when we have more access
than ever before to the traumas of this
world, how will you resist the tide of
despair? Let beauty be your anchor.

We’re so thrilled to share that Tamara “Solem” Al-Issa will be our Artist-in-Residence in Provence this May.
Tamara is a Syrian-Filipina sculptor based in Toronto whose hand-built ceramics are acts of memory, of architecture half-remembered, of colour that carries cultural weight, of ancestral shapes brought forward into the present. Her signature Deep Blue series draws on the mystical significance of blue in South West Asia and North Africa, rendered in a striking cobalt hue.
What began as a curiosity outside of her field soon became her life’s work. Tamara has learned through mentors, through touch, and through the stubborn intuition of clay. Her pieces have been shown widely, at Scope Design Fair at Art Basel Miamiand, and in her beautiful studio in Toronto’s Junction Triangle.
In Provence, Tamara will lead a hand-built ceramics workshop under the centuries old plane trees, an invitation to slow down, to feel the material, to make something sentimental.
Linger in Provence is a refuge for everything we all seek. Connection to the land and each other. Space to expand our joy, our bellies, our breath, and our time.
We make things with our hands. We eat full, colorful plates and talk long into the night. We swim and we wander. We linger, and somehow, we each come back to ourselves.
There’s something about this quiet corner of southern France that we have fallen in love with. Provence was the first place we held a retreat and artist residency. For this and our warm French hosts, it will always feel like another home.
If you’re thinking about it, the answer is yes, you belong here too.

How lucky we are to see Linger in Cape Town through the eyes of @ayeh.kphotography . She told us “the truth about living intentionally, is to ‘linger’ on small moments and connect to ourself and to earth.”
A retreat may feel like a time to leave a too busy world or to refocus on oneself, and while for some that is a welcome rest, there is also another intention for linger. This time together is a softening of outside expectation and for listening to what you already quietly say to yourself. Together we build connection in collective, vulnerability and curiosity, and remembering how good it feels to be fully ourselves and in our bodies.
The biggest thank you to all of the beautiful people that showed up entirely as themselves last week, and to our two owl friends that kept watch over us as we laughed over candlelit dinners.
