And that’s a wrap !!! Honestly am still processing this tour and will continue to do so for the next little bit! I feel amazed frankly that it happened at all, and pretty much as planned. Multiple people pointed out to me that we could have started off smaller for our first tour (like, a week) instead of planning a month long tour visiting mostly cities we’ve never played in ! They are right that it was ambitious haha. @charliekoz__music and I played 14 shows this past month in 10 states (and one District of Columbia lol) and got to meet so many amazing artists and connect with all of YOU in person, which was so awesome. Thank you for showing up for us and cheering us on. An unexpected gift is that by the end I STILL enjoyed playing the same set of songs, which I had thought i would feel sick of by the end. I really believe in this EP and feel really connected to it, & I’m excited to share more of it with you all soon online ✨ stay tuned ! Also stay tuned for more behind the scenes footage of less glamorous moments, such as all the sandwiches we ate in the car out of our lukewarm coolers, discovering speed bumps are apparently called something different in every state (which we resent), and us learning about super niche random places no one has ever heard of like the Delaware River and the great smoky mountains. I drafted these slides in January and am finally posting this now. That’s how you know how scary it is for me !! For those who didn’t know, I worked as a community health coordinator & administrator from 2019-December 2024, and left that job to pursue a music career starting in January 2025. I really tried to write in “I” statements on these slides bc all I can really speak to is my experience, but I hope it might be helpful for someone to hear. Artists I admire have shared similar “things I’ve learned” posts in the past, which I found really helpful before I made big life changes myself. Writing this also helped me process a lot because 2025 was one of the biggest years of change I’ve experienced in recent memory. This winter was particularly hard for me: making sense of everything, and recalibrating to a new normal in a new city (all while the state of things seems to get worse and worse politically and economically.) This spring has been devoted to a process of digging myself out of a hole of pessimism by 1) making new music and making new musician friends, 2) touching grass, and 3) reminding myself that everything is a work in progress and I grew so much even just in 2025 (see 2nd to last slide.) I am so grateful to everyone who has come to a show, listened to my music, hosted me on tour (biiig props,) taken one of my classes, subscribed to my patre0n, and/or cheered me on in any way. This isn’t something new or something I learned this year, but it IS the most essential piece that has kept me going. THANK YOU for being here. Thank you so much for coming out to our show at Pete’s on Monday!! This was an extra special show because it was my first full set in Brooklyn since moving here, and only my second show of 2026. It’s so nice to get to play in such a cozy space with great sound and positive energy from the audience, and it really helped get me excited about performing again. I had such a great time singing with @sophie__rey , and loved getting to hear gorgeous sets from @samanthasaglibenex and @itsnorabanks , with @madeleine.bartlett and @its_traeger . STORY TIME! The last time @sophie__rey and I performed live together was in 2013 when we sang backing vox and did some choreo steps with @ryaneykholt at @barnsessions for @wmannmusic !! Now 13 years later, come see me and Sophie singing again on Monday at Pete’s Candy Store in Brooklyn. Sophie is an amazing vocalist and songwriter in her own right, & for this gig will be doing backing vocals for my set at Pete’s.
