Sonder reminds us that everyone is going through something.
Be kind.
Be grateful, everything changes.

Felt like it was time for a proper intro.
It’s been a while, and a lot of new people have joined, so I wanted to do something a little different.
Thanks to everyone who’s been supporting me by liking, commenting, sharing… I remember every name that helped me in the early days, and some of you still come to mind every time I think about how far I’ve come 🖤
Some works I've done in the past ✨

Designed a full vinyl package for a friend’s project “The moon led me to you”, and honestly, this is the kind of work that reminds me why I do this. 💙

“You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was Dostoevsky and Dickens who taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, or who ever had been alive.”
— James Baldwin
Retro-Futurist artist Roger Mattos builds images that hold love and longing in suspension. Working out of São Paulo, his collage practice draws from film, music and digital culture to create worlds where emotion is shaped by scale.
In our latest conversation, he reflects on the moment a single message from a stranger shifted his path, the relationship that continues to shape his work and how he’s built a global audience from a practice that began as experimentation.

You’ll never know what they’re carrying. Neither will they know about you. And somehow, you’re holding on together.
Been exploring sonder through my work lately. This one is simple, no collage, no layers, but it got me. Sometimes the quiet ones do.
