🎨 Eva Lindström exhibition in Bologna! ✨
While the announcement of this year’s laureate was our main focus in Bologna, some of our previous laureates also came into the spotlight during the book fair. One of them is Eva Lindström, our 2022 laureate, who has been honored with a solo exhibition showcasing her enigmatic visual world.
The exhibition is open until May 29, 2026, at Palazzo Paltroni,

Two small children and their dog land on another planet. “Nothing is Impossible for Us” by Eva Lindström conveys a sense of both isolation and community, as well pangs of loss for a missing father. We never learn what the children have been through. Is the journey shown a symbolic one, a way of showing the grief of separation? We can at least be certain that the children represent strength and indomitable optimism. Nothing is impossible for them.
Eva Lindström is a Swedish picture book artist. She received the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award in 2022.

Children’s book illustrations in the subway! 🚇🎨
Did you know the Stockholm subway is called the world’s longest art exhibit — stretching over 110 kilometers? Right now, the walls of Zinkensdamm station are decorated with illustrations from Eva Lindström’s picture book ”Nothing Is Impossible for Us”, transforming the station environment into a poetic and playful space. ✨
📖 ”Nothing Is Impossible for Us” follows two small children and their dog as they land on another planet. The story conveys a sense of both isolation and community, as well as pangs of loss for a missing father. But we never learn what the children have been through. Is the journey shown a symbolic one, a way of showing the grief of separation when a family suffers a painful departure? We can at least be certain that the children represent strength and indomitable optimism. Nothing is impossible for them.

We were honoured to participate in the 4th Jeonju International Picture Book Fair in Jeonju, South Korea last month, celebrating the art and storytelling of picture books from around the world. 📚🎨🌏
The fair featured original illustration exhibitions by our laureates Baek Heena, Eva Lindström, and Kitty Crowther, along with an exhibition about the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Jeonju International Picture Book Fair @jipf_picturebook for inviting us, and to the Embassy of Sweden in Korea @swedeninkorea for support in facilitating this cultural exchange.

Uncertainty is a central theme in Eva Lindström’s picture book "Bron" (The Bridge), a story about a pig who is looking for a bridge and has gotten lost. He asks directions from a wolf and is invited for coffee at the wolves’ cabin. It is a subdued story in which a presentiment of danger resides, reinforced by looks, hints and tense, tentative dialogue. Just what is going on here?
Eva Lindström has an altogether special profile among Swedish picture book artists. In both words and images, she portrays moods and emotions that may relate equally to big life questions and to the everyday events around which a child’s life revolves. She often takes her point of departure in the world of children’s experiences and logic. In a number of books, she captures the kinds of exciting dramas that play out among children.
Eva Lindström received the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award in 2022.
