Viv + Greg and their beautiful city wedding full of family and culture and a whole lot of meaning..also killer air guitar skills (last slide)
These two met on their first day in med school and seeing the way they love each other, there’s a strength that’s so present and so calm and so real, after spending years also being so dedicated to their careers. What a beautiful thing to hold so much space for each other through it all, the kind of love you could feel.

Drew + Alex. Complete with a getaway car, a tower of bubs, a pink house, vows that were truly poetic, a lot of tears that came with said poetic vows, a giant disco ball, Moms house plants, and a bride serenading her groom. The amount of love going around was floating through the walls and damn I’m grateful we got to document it.

Michaela + Jack in Maine. I wish there were words to describe this one, the way it felt so intentional and so love filled. We were at what felt like the end of the world in our own little secret spot, with the sun and the breeze and warm cups of tea in the morning, espresso martinis in the afternoon. The girls wrapped in blankets on the deck getting makeup done, their pups roaming around on the rocks. Post ceremony music by the water while the sun went down through the trees, cocktails and lobster rolls going around and best friends laughing on the porch. Bridesmaids florals put together by Michaela’s Dad and everyone lit up with the glow. Next to the ceremony they had a sign in Latin that said “this corner of the earth pleases me more than any other” and we all felt it.

Klaudia + Bryan a couple weeks back in Beacon Hill on digital and film. We met outside of their apartment and wandered around in their neighborhood, the kind of night that felt special and rooted in intention.
I was thinking the other day about how we get to celebrate with people all summer long as our job. And what would my life be like if I didn’t take the leap on this career 15 years ago?
It’s wild to me, how much fun and perspective and family and new friendships this job has brought us. There’s something that happens on a wedding day and everyone feels it, this giant reminder of how simple it all really is, how just being together is everything, how love is truly the most beautiful thing, how at the end of the day we don’t really need much but each other. And I can’t believe we get to steal that energy and ride that wave for months out of the year.
So as we’re on all of the calls with our couples right now planning, as all of the timelines are flowing through our inbox, as we plan our travel for the season (and France?!), I’m just grateful beyond and genuinely excited that we get to do this.
Love is..
Flowers on salads
A floor full of shoes
Open windows on the first day of spring
Serendipitous songs
Light on water
Creaky floorboards
Rosy cheeks
Scratchy records
Crossed paws
Pink velvet cocoons, bubbles and pretty gowns are obviously a good combination.
Shot for @hinterlandbride with queen @mayaredington . Everyone needs to go see the new Stowe location and melt over every single dress. Ok bye.

The last couple of years have brought deep lessons in the importance of why we do this. A few times we photographed events or shoots that had a heavy emphasis on capturing someone in the family that had limited time left.
I wish I had a way to fully describe what it feels like to do this. The beautiful weight of that. The way it has to feel for our families going through it. It’s like I can see every single drive to school and holiday and dinner around the table. I can hear the songs on repeat and the jokes that no one else would ever get. The way they were each other’s safest place. That just being together was the very safest place.
Sometimes I wonder who I’d be if I didn’t have this constant reminder of how fleeting it all is, it’s the greatest gift that comes from this job even though it can be so heavy on the heart. It’s a nod to breathe in the small stuff. To keep observing, to keep appreciating. To notice the light leaving it’s stamp on the wall. To actually hear it all. How often do we stop and just listen for a second. It’s beautiful.
So here’s to all of the beautiful people, doing beautiful things, just being human, and appreciating the time while we’ve got it. We get to document life, we get to do that.
These lover lovers are getting married this year and it just validates all of my feelings that this season is going to be completely insane. That’s all.
The season of the soften. That’s what I’m calling it. The season of taking more time, moving a little slower, drinking way too many warm bevs, and embracing all of the ideas coming in with the little bit of extra space in my brain. It’s so important and so needed and it feels good to embrace it. I feel like it chased me around for awhile until I let it lay right over me. I’m bringing it all to our next season, because before we know it we’ll be running around in fields again and we can’t be our most creative if we don’t give ourselves a second to see it all. So here’s to slowing down, and soften I will.
