Este viernes noche de experimentación en liminal, juntando tres artistes de la ciudad: Linalab nos trae también su formato live coding. Linalab es una singularidad múltiple. Grupo y unidad, un sonido solitario. Una nota, una frecuencia que se complejiza con el tiempo, enredándose, convirtiéndose en ruido, melodía, canción y luego silencio. Hagamos Ruido se presenta en formato Live Coding. Su propuesta se centra en la exploración de secuencias rítmicas y sonoras generadas en tiempo real, utilizando principalmente trackers programados con ORCA, el entorno de live coding desarrollado por Hundred Rabbits. nara is neus en esta ocasión nos trae una improvisación con instrumentos DIY creados junto a blank en ese mismo espacio. Un conjunto de tubos metálicos resonantes que darán mucho para jugar. Transiting the latent space with Lina Bautista 🎹✨ Last month during @amsterdamdanceevent , we hosted Barcelona-based musician and educator Lina Bautista @linalab for a workshop on variational audio autoencoders at @door_open_space —a completely different approach to AI music than the text-to-music generators flooding the market. 🎶 Instead of black box prompts → finished tracks, participants learned to work with RAVE (Realtime Audio Variational autoEncoder) in MAX-MSP: encoding audio into latent space, manipulating those compressed mathematical representations in real-time, then decoding back into sound. Developed at IRCAM, this open-source tool encodes audio into a latent space of manipulable variables, then decodes them back into reconstructed sound. Through MAX-MSP and the nn~ external object, we’ll explore pre-trained models across different datasets (voices, percussion, classical instruments) and real-time latent space manipulation. 🧭 Open to anyone interested in sound and music who wants to explore ethical, open-source AI music tools. NXT PRO - WORKSHOPS LINA BAUTISTA (Axolot) Taller de Introducción al Live Coding Día: Sábado 4 octubre Hora: 16:00h Número de plazas: 30 Lugar: Aula de Educación del Caac Venta de tickets en ultimaentrada.com El live coding es una técnica performativa centrada en la escritura de código en tiempo real que se utiliza principalmente para producir música o imágenes, y se extiende también a otras áreas. Normalmente, este código es proyectado permitiendo que cualquier persona pueda ver cómo se están produciendo los algoritmos. Es una práctica abierta que no busca un virtuosismo o una perfección en el código, sino que enfrenta el error ante el público, haciéndolo partícipe de la performance. En este taller utilizaremos "Mercury", un lenguaje especialmente creado para hacer live coding, que nos permite crear y modificar música al momento con solo algunas líneas de código. Durante este taller, aprenderemos las bases de este lenguaje en su versión en línea que, además, nos permite tocar colaborativamente. También veremos cómo añadir y modificar visuales con código, utilizando Hydra. Necesidades de los participantes: Ordenador portátil con Firefox, Brave o google chrome instalado (no safari o edge). Auriculares. Para participar en este taller no es necesario tener conocimientos de programación; una base musical y/o artística puede ayudar. Lina Bautista (también conocida como Linalab) es músico, artista, educadora y desarrolladora que integra sintetizadores modulares, electrónica DIY y live coding para crear música y diseñar experiencias interactivas. Su trabajo involucra al público con tecnologías del sonido y programación creativa.
