another piece submitted to culture with the misguided idea that corset would cause breathlessness to make Elizabeth Swan faint and fall into deep Caribbean waters. For me, I love a corset, and find them VISUALLY breathtaking. Therefore, I made a sketch a few months ago in my feat of adoration (last slide) and found myself reinsured to redesign it into a poster.

Badd Habits Retro Cigarette Poster!
“Badd Habits, smoke so good, you forget it’s not”.
I came up with this concept a couple years ago, and revisited the idea with fresh eyes, the original illustration was done by hand with Posca Pens on Mult-media paper (last slide). It was then redesigned in Photoshop, changing the colour palette to reference similar colour palettes found in vintage cigarette ads.

If you’re a movie buff you probably are horrified at the inaccuracies of the French people mentioned in the poster. “They weren’t even alive at the same time”, “they didn’t even do that genre”, “Lina no one cares why are you fighting outrage that hasn’t even happened”. To that I say, you’re completely right. Anyways, this is a poster, old French film style. Could’ve been a horror but is potentially pervy instead. Well, it’s French. Love y’all byeeeeee
Had a LOT of fun making this, genuinely because I started wanting to watch the movie I was making the poster, making up the plot line and gory details. Sorry guys, not a real movie. And no, I didn’t google if there is a horror movie or psychological thriller under that name, so don’t take me seriously. This is for fun and I make no money from this. Here we are, another day of October celebrating the horror genre because I do love it, so much.
This picture taken on my aimless walk and could potentially in my imagination be a front page poster for a new Netflix horror movie (although I hope not cause they are not very good). This is just to show that anything can be turned into something with meaning. Enjoy byyyeeeeeeeee
