Story time and most important post of my life: I couldn’t have asked for a better 40th birthday. It’s been 15 years since I’ve seen my son @cam.hixks and I finally got see him. When I moved to Miami he was 2 years old. I was a really terrible human before I moved to Florida. With the information his mom had she did what she thought was best for her son. I must admit she killed it because he is an amazing kid and turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I spent over a decade trying to find him and 3 years ago he reached out to me on IG and we have been talking ever since. This past weekend he agreed to meet me in Vegas for a few days and then agreed to see him in San Diego. I will spend the rest of my life trying to do right by him.

Four days around @limomatt during Formula 1 Miami weekend taught me something real. 🏁🚐
And he’s probably gonna kill me for posting this because I don’t think he likes too much reverence 😂
But it is what it is.
This weekend wasn’t just about Escalades, Sprinters, FBO pickups, tarmac runs, police escorts, Hard Rock Stadium traffic, private aviation, or high-level event movement.
All of that was cool.
But the real thing I noticed was how Matthew “Limo Matt” Hicks moves.
Connected, but not thirsty.
Calm, but still funny.
Professional, but still human.
Serious when it matters, loose when the moment allows it.
One minute he’s coordinating vehicles.
Next minute he’s talking to somebody important.
Next minute he’s standing there in those shoes looking like he walked out of a West Coast family cookout with a transportation empire in his pocket 😂
Old-school flavor.
Real relationships.
Real timing.
Real command.
That’s the part I respect.
Not because I’m trying to gas him up.
Because when you’re around somebody who has actually built relationships in this business, you can see the difference.
Some people just own vehicles.
Other people know how to move people, rooms, timing, trust, and opportunity.
That’s what I saw this weekend.
So yeah, he might roast me for posting this.
But big respect to Matt, RIDE Transportation, and everybody I got to work around. Harold! We on 1 G!!! 🦾
I’m learning.
I’m observing.
I’m building.
And little by little, these rooms are starting to feel less foreign.
The goal is still bigger than the ride.
One day, I’m taking my mom back to Honduras on one of those jets.
That’s the vision.

I started this ten years ago because no one reached out to me to see if I wanted to join them on Thanksgiving. I was going to ask for help or to be invited so I had McDonalds. I do this so we all have a place. I worry every year that no one will show up but every year it gets better. It really feels like a block party or the end of a high school movie. It really brings me joy doing this and I hope to see you tomorrow
