We’re enjoying some beautiful spring days here in Scotland - the perfect excuse to take the charming 12-person boat from Kinross Pier out to Loch Leven Castle.
Set on its own island, this is where Mary, Queen of Scots was held for 11 months, before her dramatic escape by boat under the cover of darkness on 2nd May 1568.
With such small numbers, the experience feels wonderfully intimate and personal - a real step back in time, without the crowds.
