I feel so lucky to have gotten to see two of my full length plays brought to life already this year by such talented and passionate artists. Had a great (albeit short) time at the Shakespeare Association of America conference in Denver. Got feedback on my new book project, caught up with some awesome scholars and friends, did a fencing workshop, and checked out some local breweries.
I can’t express how exciting and meaningful it is to be seeing my play “Rattler” produced for the first time. This play is so important to me, and it means everything to be able to see such talented artists bring it to life and watch it move an audience. Thank you @hellertheatreco - I can’t wait to see how it shifts and grows through the rest of the run!
So excited to have two productions of my full length work coming up in the next few months. In March an awesome new work theatre company in Tulsa @hellertheatreco is producing “Rattler”! Then, in April, Benedictine College will be putting on my play “Her Own Devices”!

THIS CAST! I am so excited for opening night of “And Then There Were None.” Truly it has been an honor and a joy getting to work with some again, some for the first time, and hopefully all not for the last time. The talent on this stage is astounding and I feel so grateful to The Barn Players for trusting me with directing this play. If you are in KC, come and see these actors and designers absolutely kill it from January 9-18, you won’t regret it.

What a day of new work! Presented at the Johnson County Library Writers Conference and spoke on a panel with some incredible writers, then got to see the incredible new work “The JonBenét Game” at the Unicorn Theatre!
Day trip to OKC to see Wetleg in concert. Saw the Blessed Stanley Rother shrine, the Oklahoma City Bombing Museum and Memorial, and hit up Prairie Ales at long last.
Cheers to 33, my Jesus year🥂 Enjoyed birthday brunch since I will be in rehearsal all day. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful human as my birthday date this and every year. I hope I can always remember to be grateful for the many gifts I have.
Starting off my birthday celebration with the @parkvillemicrobrewfestival ! Got to try a bunch of local beer and beer from the breweries from St. Louis I miss most 🍻
