OpenLab: A.T.A.Z – Augmented Tides of Autopoetic Zones
This is where we can dream.
A.T.A.Z transforms Tong Shin Terrace into a “laboratory of consciousness” a live experiment in sensing, thinking and dreaming through tipping-point ecologies and accelerating technics (after Hans-Jörg Rheinberger’s idea of the lab as an epistemic site for new, unforeseeable knowledge).
Across generative-AI projections, sonified data, video and an interactive game world, artists explore “autopoietic processes"-Artists as biological systems that sense, model and reconfigure themselves. The show asks how our biological senses, memories and affects might guide us through cultural and ecological transformation. Immersion becomes method: through shared time and attention, the exhibition opens space for existential questions, co-existence and solidarity.

James Ly – Redreaming Technics: Sardines / Jellyfish / Sensing the World
AI-ocean video works and a Unity game world built from AI 3D models and scans from “In Between Plants and Ghost 2”, forming speculative landscapes where body, code and environment entangle.
Rhaz Oriente – Whispers (2026)
Single-channel HD video tracing how naga cosmologies persist across Southeast Asian rivers, thresholds and unstable terrains.
Anwar Suhaimi – DAM (2026)
A perpetually turning water floodgate reflecting systems of access, control and limitation through cyclical motion and repetition.
Qusyairi Zazali – Persembahan Duniawi (2016)
Layered video installation exploring “computing thoughts” and the entanglement of memory, technology and human existence.

Our exploration of Bukit Bintang led us to a total heritage flavor bomb at Limapulo Terrace! 🏙️✨
As Canadians diving deep into the world of Peranakan cuisine we were completely blown away by their award winning Nyonya Laksa. The broth is so incredibly rich and creamy with the perfect balance of spice and tang. We also dived into a plate of their Mee Goreng which was packed with that signature smoky wok heat we love! 🥘🔥
There is something so charming about finding this peaceful terrace oasis right in the middle of the city’s busiest district. It is easy to see why this spot is a local legend for authentic Baba Nyonya flavors. We are officially obsessed with this spicy and soul warming lunch! 🌏❤️
