Had the time of my life working on this project and I got to do it with my dearest friends and family ๐ซถ๐ป.
This look is in honor of the Mother Mary, and while I may not be religious, Catholicism played a huge role in my upbringing. Not much of it ever made sense to me or felt right, but I always felt Mary and her sorrow. The older I get the more I can feel this almost divine connection to her, the idea of her. She represents my pain, my womanhood, and what I find beautiful In the world. Iโve even got her tattooed on me. Although religion has brought me a plethora of shame, guilt and hurt, I find Symbolic meaning where I can.
The look is made from EVA foam with Worbla molded over every piece to provide structure. I made every piece of the โporcelainโ armor here and for my first time working with this kind of material, Iโm very happy with the results! The linen skirt and bando were made by my lovely sister
