I have 6 kids that I love ❤️ dearly and would give me left kidney for 😆 but my instagram makes Lyla look like an only child 😬 The rest are feral and cannot be contained.
.
Each of my kids are so unique and different. It makes me wonder if we (@train323 😘) had 20…what would they all be like? 😬
If you can do these things one handed…you’re a good candidate for 6 kids 😆
1) Clean the house and every spill known to man
2) Cook 👩🍳 4 different meals at once
3) Use scissors to open snacks
4) Go to the bathroom
5) Put on your makeup 💄
6) Break up a WWE wrestling match
.
The ideal applicant can do these proficiently with just 1 arm and hand. The other arm will be occupied at all times.
Lyla girl is 4 months old and looks like a busted can of biscuits compared to when she was born. She doesn’t like being set down well….because there’s 7 of us that can hold her and she knows it. Other than that….she is happy 100% of the time! She’s a big volleyball fan. Loves her siblings! And seems to be a Daddy’s girl ❤️ we love you so much!
LYLA- acronym for Love You Lots Always 💕 and we love this little doll to pieces! She’s currently battling RSV and we are praying hard that she gets better at home. It has been a sleepless 10 days 🥱 monitoring her oxygen and helping her through coughing fits. But she’s still smiling through it all 😃 We love you lots always Lyla girl!
If you want to feel a little more put together in 2024…just throw a puffer vest on top of your hot mess 💩 outfit! Voila! It’s like you suddenly got 8 hours of sleep, woke up to a clean house, and breakfast in the oven. #wrong #wepretend

I grew up always having a list of names I liked. They were written down on pieces of paper 📝 in various places. That later turned into notes 🗒️ on my iPhone. Here are some other names we considered for our second daughter Lyla…which were very different in style from our first daughter Macie almost 12 years ago. I try to stay away from names in the top 50 of popularity. Did you pay any attention to that? Or just me? With a super common last name, I felt like we needed to be different with the first name.
✨ Many prayers were answered with Lyla blessing our family. One of them was fulfilling my daughters one and only Christmas wish last year….after putting up with 4 brothers 🤣 Being the 6th baby, people have asked if she was an “accident”? We actually tried the longest and prayed the hardest for this baby. I had some medical complications and needed surgery which could have made it impossible to get pregnant again or carry full term. I had an early loss/false positive. I really thought the door 🚪 was closing..
.
If you are in a season of waiting, I see you. Keep praying 🙏🏻 and leaning into the Holy Spirit. You are not alone 💕
.
Sometimes I’ve had prayers that went unanswered and I probably won’t know why until I reach heaven. But miracles do exist ✨

I miss this account and all of the people 💕💕 Meet Lyla Marie our 6th little one and the sister we prayed for 🙏🏻 Social media can suck you dry and I had to take a break from posting here. But I hope to start sharing again!!
They said don’t have kids when you’re “older” because you won’t have the energy to raise them. I took it to heart ❤️. My goal was to have my kids before I was 30 and I did….well 3 of them. My late 20’s and early 30’s were an insane blur of working hard, surviving toddlers, and constantly feeling like I was drowning. Energy? What energy? I felt like I needed to be perfect in every way and the time was flying in warp speed. I felt like I saw my kids, fed them dinner, put them in the bath and straight to bed. Rinse, wash, repeat. Vicious cycle.
.
Then God did something crazy when I was 35 and blessed us with Brady. It felt like we were starting over (because we were..it had been 6 years since we had a newborn). And of course then came our little guy Easton when I was 37. I am pretty sure I have more energy raising this new bunch because I understand and have perspective of 1) what’s important and what doesn’t matter 2) letting go of perfection 3) knowing what is temporary and 4) having an appreciation for how fast time really goes.
.
I put my energy into what matters most and let go of the things that don’t create internal joy 😋 I spend a lot more time playing with my kids and a lot less time telling them “Mommy doesn’t have time”. I truly thank God everyday for blessing me with these two babies that have given us another chance to get on the floor and play trucks, go for epic bike rides to the ice cream shop, and listening to their cute little voices and giggles. God is good.
Don’t be afraid to have kids later in life. Perspective trumps youthfulness.
