We may be a day late in posting, however we at Lilac Unknown HQ definitely think that more work should be done by the industry to make sustainable and accountable actions for ensuring safety for all women and gender expansive creatives.
There are loads of suggested actions, solutions, collective,new protocols, and endless panels that speak about what we can all do to help.
So we don't buy the excuses (and there are plenty!) when venues,promoters, artists, managers, security staff and ANYONE that contributes to making decisions; claim they are doing the best they can.
We will continue to do our part, and welcome anybody to reach out if they have genuine questions on what they can do to achieve better gender parity on lineups and how to maintain safer spaces 🩷
Its 2026, so let's stop pretending this isn't a problem that affects us all, yeah?
