🐍Heyoo~ I had the pleasure to create a piece for the "Caught 'Em All!" art exhibition, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Pokemon (⁠ ⁠ꈍ⁠ᴗ⁠ꈍ⁠) I really wanted to make something unique and this was the perfect excuse to experiment and use some of my hoarded arts and crafts stash (⁠๑⁠•⁠﹏⁠•⁠)" So here's my Arbok with spider lillies \⁠(⁠>⁠o⁠<⁠)⁠ﾉ This painting was done on a bamboo paper fan with inks, colour pencil, shimmer watercolour and a touch of white gouache. I did some initial tests with just watercolour but the material acted very different to my usual paper so it was time to whip out the inks (⁠｡⁠•̀⁠ᴗ⁠-⁠)⁠✧ The inks I used are from @lousy.ink and I got a mystery box of their seconds a few years ago. I love how these inks are so vibrant and are water based so it easily integrated with my watercolour work flow. I also love the fact that the inks are made in Australia from printer ink cartridges that would have gone to landfill. I'll definitely be using these inks more! This was a super fun project and I feel inspired to do more one off pieces like this. ✨ Happy 2026! ✨ Hope everyone had a good time celebrating, chilling and feasting during the break 🫶🧡 I started doodling in my new hobonichi 2026 planner during December, as it was the only energy and time I had during the busy season to just draw something. Even though I didn't fill in each square each day, it was fun to just chip away at it when I got the opportunity. I actually got this idea from a friend who showed me theirs and how they use up space in their hobonichi. I never owned a Tamagotchi as a kid and really loved the little, funny pocket creatures. I do own one now but haven't booted it up since purchasing it 😅 I saw the new Tamagotchi Paradise and the package mentioned having over 500 characters in it 🤯 I took a look at the wiki page and there is definitely a wide variety of cute characters. The spread is definitely only a fraction of the list so maybe a part 2 into January will be coming up later 🤭 Which are you favourite Tamas? 😈 Happy Halloween~! 💅✨ This one was a unique commission as the client wanted me to paint in their own sketchbook, which had a collection of other artists' drawings and paintings of Verosika from Helluva Boss. It's such a cute idea and I felt so honoured to be asked to add to the collection 🥺🧡 Definitely a bit of a challenge as I had to rework some of my usual watercolour techniques, but it was fun to do 😤👌 I've been enjoying the series and I can't wait for more of the show to drop. Hello nvn/✨ I forget I've got photos of my finished paintings and why not post this big baddy while Pokemon ZA dropped yesterday 🫣 My first Charizard painting I did for a commission earlier this year. I met the client while I was in Perth for Tokyo Alley, a mum and her son. The son asked if I could draw Charizard based on his favourite Pokemon card. They were very sweet and I was happy to take on the request. It's nice that there are people who love and want to support artists this way. It makes the painting process more of a co-operative process between client and artist. I still learn a lot from the process and in the end I've built a connection.
