I painted this watercolor a few years ago of a photo originally taken and posted by my friend Lindsey Elsaesser @inachampagnemood
She was an amazing photographer and artist; even her less intricate playful work was so cool- like this picture of her torso with lily flowers spread across herself.
I painted this to celebrate her memory, and also because I just really like the image and composition. It was an honor to have it as part of her altar at her photo exhibition memorial a few years ago, organized by her beloveds @jessica.rae.elsaesser & @dwzinsser
Finally got around to framing it, and I felt it would be happy by the house plants 💖🪴
Ironically, or mystically, she captioned this post from Sep 13, 2016: “In the afterlife and a stranger buys you a bouquet of your favorite flower”
