FAQ: I painted my designs, how do I send them to you?
We still have a lot of potential/existing customers who prefer creating their work by painting and drawing on paper instead of a tablet, so this question still crops up!
The first way we recommend is to scan your artwork in. If you have a desktop printer with a scanner at home, then this will most likely do the trick. Most at home printers have scanners which are very capable. In order to get the best from your scanned artwork we recommend checking some settings, just so your work is set up correctly.
- We recommend that your scan has a high resolution. A minimum of 300dpi is recommended to get the best out of your artwork. (The higher the number, the better the resolution is)
- We also recommend that your scan is in CMYK. If this isn’t possible, you are more than welcome to submit your artwork to us, and we will convert it for you. Just a note, in some instances converting your art to CMYK may cause some colours to appear slightly more dull or washed out.
If you don’t have access to a scanner, you can also take a photo of your artwork. Just make sure that your photo is taken in bright, even lighting, and your photo is taken face on.
Once you have your digital file, you can upload it alongside your order via our website. If you would like us to check that everything looks okay before ordering, feel free to pop this over to us via email
[email protected], and we’d be happy to take a look!
