I’m Mandy (Amanda). A 2 year old greyhound who was rescued a few months ago from a town where is very common to use us (greyhounds) for racing or hunting. Apparently, I wasn’t useful anymore and they ditched me. I spent some time in the streets where I was starving to death and also, had a very bad and painful skin infection. But thankfully, someone rescued me and sent me to a shelter where I spent 5 months and where they saved my life.
Even though it was not an ideal situation, it was better than being out in the streets where I would have died or someone else could have picked me to abuse me once again.
After months of nobody asking for me,
@rubyhep (who rescued many dogs before) saw an Instagram post about me and immediately requested to adopt me! 😍 Two days later, they drove me for 3 hours to my new home.. and the rest is history.
I have a home, I have a family, I have siblings, I have friends, I have vets, food, toys, bunch of beds, sofas, yard, I love going on walks and travelling.
My life completely changed 🩷 even after all the bad things, my Mom says I’m the sweetest girl.
So here I am.. sharing my journey with you and hoping I can spread some awareness and maybe someday, no other greyhound, no other dog, no other animal, goes through the same things I did.
