Here’s a hands-on look at the new Fitbit Air. It’s a $99 smart band that’s looking like a threat to Whoop, and it’s launching alongside a new “Google Health” app that will replace the Fitbit app. There’s a $9.99 subscription fee for the AI “health coach” in the app, but basic tracking features won’t require a subscription. As I’m testing this, my biggest question will be how well the app actually works. I had a terrible time with the health coach in the Public Preview. Let’s see if things have changed.

Here’s how I’m training for Hyrox as a weightlifter - with 5 weeks to go until race day, I’m running a lot and making sure to get experience with the different stations.

Are we all eating “too much” protein? That’s a myth, and our senior health editor Beth Skwarecki explains why. The RDA is a minimum, so it’s good to get more—and people who are older, pregnant, breastfeeding, exercising, or losing weight need more than the RDA. Here are the numbers.
