A few weeks ago, some of our colleagues from Konekt dropped by Lifecare Claremont for a hands-on look at the latest and greatest in exercise prescription, specification and measurement!
First up, Senior MusculoSkeletal Physiotherapist Anthony “Macca” McEvoy gave them a tour of the clinic, as well as the sports specific gym facilities next door at @claremonttigers Football Club and @revofitness Stadium.
Then it was time to get them to work!
Physiotherapist Anuska Gothivrekar challenged the Konekt team in our Physiotherapy Pilates and Clinical Exercise Studio. This is where we start rehab for back and neck injuries.
Next, they did some testing with Physiotherapist Wheaton using the state of the art @vald_performance system.
This includes VALD ForceDecks and a VALD DynaMo, that measure forces and movement with an exceptionally high level of accuracy.
Adding accurate, relevant measures to a clients rehabilitation not only provides objective evidence of the stage of recovery they are at, but also acts as a very strong motivator for the client to improve.
Well, the Konekt team were definitely motivated! They all wanted to beat their own test results... as well as the results of their colleagues.
Thanks for stopping by team - you're always welcome.

“I Should Be So Lucky”
Recently I treated a VIP for “Tension” before her tour. After Perth, she asked me to join her in Melbourne and Sydney to keep her and the crew in shape.
I was “Spinning Around” but left the “Kids” at home and said, “What do I have to do?” She replied “I Can’t Get you Out of My Head.”
What an amazing opportunity! @kylieminogue you and your team are angels! Thankyou for letting me join Australia’s Pop Princess on tour! Kudos to the other wonderful Physios who will keep this show on the road! I’m always a phone call away. Forever a wild rose!
