Congratulations to Rachel for being named Future's Star of the Month for February š
Her team had a lot of lovely things to say about her, including this great nomination!;
"Rachel single-handedly gets mass media exposure for the Mozo brand that would cost well over $10 Million AUD annually...
Just last week she secured a TV exclusive, appearing in a three-minute segment on national breakfast TV that showcased our Mozo Experts Choice Awards program and comparison expertise! As the PR & Communications Manager for Mozo, sheās got a lot of balls continually in the air - from responding to daily inbound media requests, pitching our unique data & reports to key media to being our brand ambassador on social channels and with broadcast and print media.
Rachel is a joy to work with and collaborates across the business and across all team levels to get us the best angles and find new opportunities to drive our commercial results. She is continually working to improve her approach to tasks and her capabilities and she seeks out feedback and ideas from others.
She is extremely passionate about financial literacy and our brand mission to help Australians make their money count for more. She brings that passion to the office and to her work every day and her enthusiasm (and big smile) lifts up everyone around her."
Congratulations Rachel!

For day 4 of #apprenticeshipweek , we return with Siobhan M. who studied a PR & Communications Apprenticeship with PA Media while working for Future;
Why did you choose to study this course? What were you hoping to get out of it?
After completing a Bachelors Degree in Communications in New Zealand back in the early 2000's, I was aware that a lot of things in this area had changed. By completing this apprenticeship course, I hoped to garner a wider understanding of the digital space, as well as refine and hone skills I'd previously learnt.
How do you think you have changed/improved professionally as a result of doing this course?
I think I look at things differently now. The course allowed me to look outside of what the normal parameters of my job were, and determine how I could apply what I had learnt in support of my clients in a range of different ways.
What skills/knowledge from your course have you implemented into your current role?
I feel I polished up on a lot of things, greatly improving my data analysis and copywriting skills. I've increased my knowledge in areas such as digital marketing, and been motivated to continue my studies here further.
What other benefits have you seen as a result of completing your course?
Since completing this course, I have not only enhanced my skill set but also plugged gaps in my knowledge. I have been involved in high profile projects with senior management, worked with new people and teams across both Marketforce and Future, and secured a promotion to a Commercial Development Manager position. This course opened the door for me to try new things and because of it, gave me a new career in an area I wouldn't have expected. Stepping outside of your comfort zone is important for personal growth, and I'm excited to see where my new position will take me.

How do you think you have changed/improved professionally as a result of doing this course?
I've grown in confidence in my role and understand what I'm doing. Learning new techs and continually changing has been awesome. I've had to adapt to change.
What skills/knowledge from your course have you implemented into your current role?
My skills in fault finding, problem solving and using IT system have continue to grow and improve daily.
What other benefits have you seen as a result of completing your course?
I've made permanent in my role, I have a tech bar to look after and make it into my own.
