📰 Big News! LIEDER ALIVE! is thrilled to announce that we have received an Impact Projects Grant from the California Arts Council!
This investment will support our “Finding Voice and Vision: Empowering Veterans through Music, Writing, and Film” project, offering transformative paths to healing and empowerment.
#FindingVoiceAndVision is a collaboration between Composer-in-Residence Kurt Erickson, prizewinning author and poet veteran Brian Turner, and Actor/Director Will Chase. Lieder Alive is partnering with VA centers in the San Francisco Bay Area to launch Finding Voice and Vision: Empowering Veterans through Music, Writing, and Film. This innovative three-month workshop offers bi-weekly online sessions led by artists and clinicians, guiding veterans in creating music, writing, and film in response to prompts centered on PTSD and mental health.
