***GRAND OPENING 🎊*** This is the NEWEST Playspace 🦕 and Indoor Playground 🛝 in the region.
We were there on their grand open weekend, and had such a great time. The kids were having the best time in this duo level structure, with slides, a grocery store 🍎, farm 🥕, sand (wooden chip) pit with sand toys 🚜, dress up 👗, dinosaurs 🦖, construction area 🚧, wall play bricks 🧱, vanity table 💄, silks, baby zone 👶, and more.
There are a lot of highly advanced things to play with in here, that we haven’t seen before, anywhere else, or even in pics. When you place the dinosaurs on platforms, you learn all about them. When you place food on the scanner, it lists useful info about them, the burners turn on with a light, and there’s a controller station for the construction equipment construction 🏗️.
The children not only have fun playing, but also learning. There’s a nice café next door, if you want to get some breakfast 🥐 or lunch 🥗.

What? Nana’s Wonderland has just opened up in Long Island City, Queens after its success in other locations in Queens and Long Island. Inside you’ll find many imaginative play areas such as a grocery store and a dress-up beauty area, among a play structure with obstacles, leading to slides and a ball pit. There’s also some unique interactive additions such as an electric excavator sandbox station, and within the grocery store there’s an interactive food scanner. A separate baby area is also inside, and with the whole place soft padded, it’s suitable for all ages of babies, toddlers and young children.
Where? 2-20 Malt Drive, which is right beside the Long Island City LIRR station, or a 10 minutes walk away from the Vernon Blvd-Jackson Ave station on the 7 line. The Hunters Point South ferry is only a few minutes walk away also!
When? Monday through Friday from 10am to 7pm, and Saturday and Sundays from 9am to 8pm.
Cost? A 2 hour open play pass is $39 per child, and an all day pass (allowing you to leave and return throughout the day) is $49 per child. These also allow for one adult per child also. Any additional adults will cost an additional $9. 12 visit passes and memberships are also available.
Our Rating? 4/5. Nana’s Wonderland is a great new addition to LIC. There’s definitely some elements found inside that I’ve never seen before, such as the electric excavator sandbox station. The beauty and dress-up area was incredible, which Darcy could’ve spent all day in. There’s lots of seating available for caregivers which is always a plus! I will definitely be returning, although I feel the price is very high.
Anything else? Stroller parking is available inside.
