We want to bring a drag show into lickndip not as a spectacle, but as a movement rooted in community, freedom, and raw expression. We have been inspired by the wave of drag and queer expression moving through the scene. This isn’t about stages and spotlights, it’s about sweat, sound, closeness, and creating a space where LGBTQ artists and performers feel seen, celebrated, and safe to be fully themselves. It’s drag as resistance, drag as art, drag as nightlife culture at its most honest and unfiltered. A place where the lines between performer and crowd blur, where the energy is shared, and where the underground becomes a home for queer expression, solidarity, and collective release.
Last night meant more to us than we can put into words. After months away, coming back and feeling that kind of love, energy, and support reminded us why we do this in the first place. To every single person who showed up, danced, smiled, and believed in us… thank you.
To our local artists who absolutely crushed it, our team members who never stopped pushing behind the scenes, and everyone who’s supported us through every high and low of this journey: we see you, we appreciate you, and we couldn’t do this without you. This community is the heartbeat of everything we build, and last night was a reminder that we’re stronger together. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. 🖤
