👀 Anyone who watches Coach Duncan teaching at MA nation Lake Nona can immediately see the influence of Master Ricardo Libório in the details, the energy, the discipline and the way he connects with students on the mats.

🥋✨ At the 2024 World Master by the @ibjjf , a special ceremony took place honoring the Coral Belts graduated that year, including Master Ricardo Libório, who officially received his Coral Belt diploma from the hands of Carlos Gracie Jr..
🪸 Beyond this historic moment, Master @liboriobjj also gave an interview to the IBJJF, where he spoke about the evolution of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu over the last decades and the importance the sport can have in people’s lives.
🔥 Master Libório’s journey is deeply connected to the history of the IBJJF. He was one of the standout athletes at the federation’s very first World Championship in 1996, held in Rio de Janeiro, a historic event that this year celebrates its 30th anniversary.

🥋 These words come from an interview Master Libo gave during a trip to New Zealand, where he led a charity seminar in memory of a young Māori fighter who passed away far too soon. In the interview, our Master speaks about values that go far beyond the mat: responsibility, commitment and those moments when we have to face “our inner sabotaging voice”, that voice inside us that wants to quit, that doubts, that tries to avoid discomfort.

🥋 This past weekend, we had another belt promotion at MA nation Lake Nona, and it was an incredible joy to see so many of our students receiving new stripes and new belts after months of dedication on the mats.
✨ Today we begin our belt promotion series from this past weekend with a very special moment for our family: our coaches Duncan and Howard Graham receiving the final stripe on their brown belts, now standing just one step away from black belt. And when that moment comes, they will become part of Master Ricardo Libório’s select group of black belts, someone who has followed their journey since white belt. 😊
🧡 Moments like this remind us that maybe this is one of the most beautiful things about martial arts, even the ones who teach us continue learning every single day, exactly as they encourage their own students to do.
