Și iacă așa a decurs prima întâlnire în noua formulă Arhaic BEATS. Ne-am văzut, ne-am pus pe cântat și nu am apucat să mai vorbim decât peste vro' 2 ceasuri!
Arhaic BEATS este fuziunea dintre vechi și nou, dintre arhaic și modern. Proiectul aduce împreună beat‑uri electronice contemporane și instrumente arhaice de suflat și de percuție, într-o formulă sonoră unică.
Groove‑urile moderne sunt create de ”libe” (Lucian ROTARU), producător cu peste 20 de ani de experiență în zona underground. Partea melodic‑arhaică este interpretată de Bogdan CURELARIU, membru al ansamblului NOi Și VECHi și co-fondator al ambelor proiecte. Secțiunea de percuție este completată de ”Tazz” (Ionuț Dionisie Ionescu), care aduce dinamism și energie fiecărui performance. Sunetul arhaic ce se joacă pe beat-uri prinde viață prin sunete la fluier, caval, tilincă, goarnă, tulnic, drâmbă, gordună, cobză, dobă țărănească, cajon, conga, djembe, udu etc.
Arhaic Beats explorează un teritoriu sonor rar întâlnit pe scenele moderne: o îmbinare între hip‑hop, breakbeat, techno sau drum’n’bass și instrumente ancestrale, într-o experiență muzicală cu adevărat originală.

The 15th EP from the label is signed by libe and Alex Rusu from Iasi, Romania, two artists with over 15 years of musical background. „The Story Of…?” EP blends breaks driven grooves with deep basslines and subtle Romanian traditional influences.The title track mixes classic breaks with traditional Romanian sounds and a deep bassline. „Calm Before The Storm” introduces a cinematic intro that slowly builds into a hypnotic and danceable groove. „Another Spark” brings a classic breaks structure with hip hop and house influences, energetic and surprising. Closing the EP, „Taraf'du Haidouks” moves into a more minimalist direction, combining Romanian folk inspired elements with electronic production for a unique and distinctive sound.
