I’ve been chosen as a finalist for The Podcast Pitch 2026 - one of five projects selected to pitch live at Sheffield DocFest in June. I’ll be presenting My Memory Fails Me, my passion project exploring the unsettling and strange phenomenon of false memory. Huge thanks to the wonderful @whickerawards and @sheffdocfest and to EVERYONE who has supported me on my audio journey so far ❤️

One year ago today…
On 12th August 2024 my first ever audio feature, Fight Fair, was broadcast on BBC Radio 4. 🥊
Fight Fair won the Charles Parker Prize 2024
and was a finalist for The Whickers Podcast Pitch 2024,
finalist for New York Festivals Radio Awards 2025 and…
in June this year I travelled to NYC to receive my Gracie Award for Student Radio Producer 2025.
I’m so proud and humbled to have achieved all these accolades in such a short time. Going to uni at my big old age was a huge risk but I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions of my life. I’m currently working on my final audio project for my MA and so whilst I’m in the midst of this huge slog to the finish line I wanted to take a moment to reflect .

My first ever audio feature, Fight Fair, has been shortlisted by the New York Festivals Radio Awards, in the category Student Documentary.
I’m incredibly honoured and overwhelmed. A huge thank you to @nyfradioawards for selecting my piece.
Also big up to my fellow UCL student, Naomi Bloomstein, for her fabulous feature, The National Language of Nowhere, which has also been shortlisted! We’re both super chuffed to be repping UCL internationally.
BIG NEWS! I’m over the moon and incredibly excited to share that I have won a Gracie Award!
Presented by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation for my first ever audio feature, Fight Fair, this recognition from The Gracies means the world to me. Fight Fair is such a personal story and to see my work acknowledged on such a huge platform is truly immense.

I’m totally overwhelmed by this incredible news - my first audio feature ‘Fight Fair’ was selected as #2024CharlesParkerPrize winner!
I started Audio Storytelling for Radio and Podcast at UCL late last year and never dreamed that within a few months I’d be an award winning audio maker, it genuinely means the world to me. And look at the judges comments! From here on in I shall be referred to as Libby ‘real raw talent’ Liburd, I thank you.
My winning piece, ‘Fight Fair’ will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 later this year. 🥊❤️🥊
