At Li Auto, our design philosophy is to create the Future Icon.
For a vehicle that is already a ”phenomenal“ benchmark, balancing heritage with innovation lies in restraint. True evolution isn’t about starting over; it’s about achieving a trans-dimensional leap while preserving the soul of a classic. We focused on two core pillars: Flagship Tension and Technological Vitality. Our goal is to evolve the L9 from a successful product into a classic design icon.
Within its commanding full-size proportions, we pursue a sense of volume and luxury unique to a flagship. This presence is built through the meticulous refinement of proportions—constructing the body like architecture and crafting details like fine art. We have performed a radical ”subtraction,“ stripping away redundant lines. Only when a design is truly restrained does every remaining detail become a focal point. True power originates from inner purity, not outward showmanship.
Beneath this restrained exterior lies a ”Technological Vitality“ that communicates with the driver. Through seamless integration of autonomous driving, active suspension, and drive-by-wire technology, design is no longer a cold shell—it‘s the physical manifestation of Embodied AI.
