I’ve been trying to put into words the Staten Island treasure that was Ellen Mitchell. Not only was she the ultimate performer on stage, but I was lucky enough to witness and experience the gravity of her leadership role behind the scenes in the theater community. There were many conversations when I would ask her advice, and she simply would end the conversation with “You’ve got magic to do.” So, Ellen, I will continue to take that with me everywhere I go - because the entire Staten Island theater community has got magic to do, just for you! Heaven doesn’t know the helluva show you’re going to do up there! But we all sure do! ❤️
