I have finally recovered from a wonderful but loooong Christmas time. A big thank you to @immersiveoctopus for having me on to be the "Big Man in Red" and the team that made it happen and such a joy to do!
So good to spend some time with @charlyb3 and make some new friends along the way.
You are all legends!
Today a little girl came to see me. I always ask what they have done this year that they are proud of and this 7 year old told me they had been away from home for the first time on a school trip. They are a type-1 Diabetic so this was huge for them. Managing their pump and monitoring sugars is a tricky thing to get used to but they were so proud of themselves.
I told them that Father Christmas was a Type-2 Diabetic (because I am) and we shared a really special moment. I am so proud of her and this is why I do this. Sharing in the magic of Christmas but also the connections you get to have with young people.
I am in awe of their bravery and am reminded every day how special this job can be.

Had the absolute pleasure of MCing @rhymeswithorangespokenword at @21soho.sq last night. A superb bunch of features poets and one of the strongest open mics I have seen in some time!
Thank you to everyone for making it such a special night and packing out the venue, which was really great.

It's not everyday you get accused of murder on national radio. But today, thanks to @moonstonemurders that actually happened!

A lovely (diabetic friendly) cake. Going to see The Pitchform Disney at the @kingsheadtheatre with Rachel and Rob Wallis. BBQ for lunch. Then going to see Penn and Teller at the Palladium where I got to go on stage to help with a trick. My gawd! What a day! Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes. It truly was a lovely day.
Had an absolute blast working with @outlawents at the Wragby Fair this last weekend as the compere for their Wild West show!
A great bunch of talented individuals who love horses and what they do.
