I started this account in lockdown. I bought an iPad with the sole purpose of making drag race art and I’ve never drawn anything else 😂 I just wanted to share my love for the show. Since then I’ve been blessed to keep sharing my drawings with you all, but now I’m going to be stepping away from this account.
There are many reasons for this, but it’s largely because I am returning to full time work (after 5 years of covid and university!).
There are other reasons too, and although I want to keep this post as positive as possible.. it feels disingenuous to not mention a major contributing factor - I cannot enjoy this show and participate in its online fandom anymore. I am so tired of queens being torn down in the name of “discourse”. I hate how every winner is dragged horrendously - and it’s many times worse if they are not white. It’s horrible to witness.
Im really really sad, but it’s been coming for a while. AND I might be back! Who knows 🤠
