My tournament summary? All or nothing. The stats breakdown: • 🎯 50% Birdie rate over the weekend (Leader stats!). • 📉 Most Double Bogeys+ in the MPO division. • 🧠 Mental toughness to bounce back from nightmare starts. The Comeback Story: • R1: +3 after 6 holes ➡️ Finished at -6 (T3). • R2: Even par after 7 holes ➡️ Finished at -4 (4th). • Final Round: Disaster strikes with +4 after just 2 holes... dropping 7 strokes off the lead. But then, the engine started: 9 birdies, 1 eagle, and two massive clutch putts to seal the deal. A weekend of pure grind at Larra for the National Tour season opener. 🇫🇷 I came into this NT with high expectations, but the reality on the course was different. I struggled to find my rhythm and really get into the flow of the tournament. To be honest, I didn’t play « badly, » but I didn’t play « well » either. I couldn’t manage a single round above my rating, and every small lapse in focus was punished immediately on the scorecard. 📉 Despite not playing my best and a performance below my standards, I’m still walking away with a podium finish. 🥉 It’s a solid takeaway: even on an « off » weekend, the floor is high enough to stay at the top. Time to digest the lessons, adjust the aim, and move forward. French Disc Golf Championship 🇫🇷🥈 Un week-end plein d’émotions, de luttes, de joie… et de promesses. Joie : La joie d’être à nouveau sur le podium des Championnats de France… pour la 3e année consécutive. Fierté : Fier d’avoir tenu tête au GOAT du disc golf français, @sylvaingouge , et au futur de notre sport, @dorian.d_g Tristesse : La tristesse d’avoir mené tout le week-end… pour finalement perdre en mort subite face à @dorian.ldg . Rage : Une rage saine, une rage de vaincre. L’envie de m’entraîner encore plus dur pour prouver que je peux monter sur la plus haute marche du podium en France. Et surtout, beaucoup de satisfaction : je suis arrivé sans grandes attentes après un début de saison nationale compliqué… et je repars avec une médaille autour du cou. J’ai réussi à tenir mentalement tout au long du week-end, sur un parcours aussi exigeant physiquement que nerveusement. Je suis resté décisif dans les moments les plus tendus, comme ce putt crucial de 11 mètres au trou 17 pour sauver le par et garder une avance d’un coup. C’est aussi la première fois que je termine un tournoi avec une moyenne au-dessus de 1000, exactement 1010, sans jouer aucune ronde en dessous des 1000. Une belle confirmation du travail accompli. Félicitations à @sylvaingouge , @maelgallet et @dorian.d_g pour cette incroyable bataille. Et bravo à @dorian.ldg pour son deuxième titre consécutif de champion de France. 📍Recap of NT#2 in Jablines Goal going into the weekend: keep mistakes to a minimum and stay mentally solid. 👉 Round 1: clean, not many mistakes, but not many birdies either — finished even par, solid start. 👉 Round 2: rough front nine with a +4, but bounced back strong to finish the round at -2 💪 👉 Round 3: came in focused on climbing the leaderboard… but a lost disc on hole 2 led to a double bogey, and having to play the next 3 holes with a disc I barely knew — ended up adding a bogey and a triple. At +7 through 10, I fought hard and managed to close out the round at +2. 🎯 I finish the tournament even overall, in 7th place, and with a round rating above my current average. No podium this time, but a lot of positives to take away, and even more motivation to keep grinding.
