Release day!! Machine is out everywhere 🫂
This track is perfect for late night drives and is very emotive. The album is coming closer to a full release, but we still got a few singles to go 👏
Thanks so much to all of you listening and saving my music, I hope this one gets you going as well!
Special thanks to @casprschlz for mix and master ♥️

This friday marks the release of my next single, ‘Machine’ 👏 the cover art is a painting of a longing embrace between two characters that I did a few years ago. There’s a sense of longing and momentum in Machine as well and so I saw it as a good fit.
Can’t wait to share this one with you all! See you friday🥰
Thank you all for listening to Venus🫶 it’s been one week now since its release and the feedback and momentum has been great, so thank you again
There’s still lots of music to come, but for now I hope you enjoy this one and that it makes you feel something

Hey,
I’m getting back into painting again and thought I’d share some thoughts about the process while playing my new song Venus, which comes out March 20 🥰 (see slide 2)
When painting, I almost always start by moving the brush around the canvas until all the white is gone. This stage is completely random, and I don’t give the colors or the strokes any thought at all. I usually try to stick to 1–2, maybe 3 shades, just to get something to latch onto when I continue after it dries.
Once the initial layer is dry, I do more intuitive movement-based stuff, creating arches or swirls. Anything with some structure goes. I then continue doing this for a few layers until I can step back and (usually) start to get a feel for some kind of motive emerging.
This is usually a face, or a mask if you will. I’m drawn to exaggerated faces/masks because they’re highly expressive.
From there it’s still very much about intuitively filling in spaces, trying to create some sort of balance or distribution of “weight” in the motive. This is probably the hardest part to explain, as it’s mostly ideas based on the outcome of the decisions I make - the choice of colors, the density of the brush strokes etc etc
And lastly, it’s just a matter of knowing when to quit - stopping at a point where the painting feels full enough to express whatever it wants.
This was a long one, but hey, maybe some of you found it useful or interesting in some way.
This piece is 90x70cm, made with acrylic and charcoal and is for sale for 5500,- NOK
