Northwest China (Xinjiang, Gansu, Qinghai) was so amazing, I wish I could turn this ‘trip’ to life
The region has incredibly diverse cultures—historically linked to the Silk Road, which connected China to the West. We met Uyghurs, Hui, Tibetans, Tajiks, and nomadic groups like the Kazakhs, Mongols, and Kirgiz (all ethnic minorities in China). Everyone was super friendly, welcoming, and living simple yet content lives. Western media often misrepresents Xinjiang.. you should go see it for yourself!
